Every player is gonna want to be overpaid to play for the islanders. If a player asking for too much money is a gamebreaker, you will never sign a free agent. - rangerdanger94
I disagree with this. I think once Snow is gone and once they are out of that terrible stadium, the Islanders should be able to draw UFA's as well as any large city team. I truely believe half the Islanders issues is because no-one would want to play 41 games in that crap-hole.
The other half is that just when the team seems to be getting back on track, Snow pulls a Milbury and screws them big time... he needs to go. |

The Question was..."You have yet to tell us how you feel about Garth Snow turning Moulson, 1st, 2nd, 5th into a conditional 2nd and prospect... " - SchennBros
I was all for the trade when it happened. With that said I stupidly believed there was more help coming via trade for our blue line and in net. Without that help the trade was ridiculously stupid and not warranted. Stopping with Vanek was dumb for many reasons. I would have much rathered Moulson be flipped for a defenseman or goaltender. I did not want him resigned for what he wanted and term but hoped we could do better for our first line due to him being ineffective on any other line. The fact that Snow let this team flounder with no help whether it be through a coaching change or trade screams incompetence which set up the trade to fail. Failure being Vanek not resigning of course since that was the reason for the trade. Finding an elite winger for Tavares long term. Failing to address the teams real needs set up that trade for failure and screams incompetence IMO.
The return Snow got for Vanek made me along with every other Islander fan physically ill. Again, I'm no fan of Snow and ultimately the trade(s). |

i think that is a spot on assessment. I dont see how you can give up so much for a player and get so much less in return for the same guy. As long as he is GM your team is going to continue to be a basement team. |

Read was a homerun. I really like the idea of signing guys out of college. With good scouting you can find some gems. - PLindbergh31

You missed our Bergeron Ovechkin argument last night.
I said Bergeron is a great all around player.

I feel he has stunted their growth but with the prospects we have the team itself almost has the potential of being good in spite of Snow. Reinhart, Mayfield, Pulock, Pedan all look great. If two of them or other prospects develop to their respected ceilings I feel this team is going to be competitive. The thing with Snow is he hasn't done much damage in fact he has done a lot of good for this teams future. He doesn't trade these kids and they're almost here. He's just not the right guy to take this team to the next level. There are probably few people who want him gone more than me but I see the good that has come from his tenure. |

Well dude...goals = wins. The high-flying 10/11 Bruins and 11/12 Kings are prime examples that a team with 4 lines of goal-scoring machines is unbeatable. |

Amazon.com is asking $15.79 for the Schwartzeneger movie "The Last Action Hero" on DVD. I didn't even know that movie made it to DVD, let alone that people would have to pay money for it.
Edit: As a comparison, Kindergarten Cop is only $5.98. |
