UNH F Kevin Goumas has isigned with the #Flyers organization. He will report to the Phantoms on an ATO today and an AHL-only deal next year.

Hmmm AHL only?

Wow, imagine if he really tried to slash him.

Keith, Subban, Doughty, Pietrangelo, Weber, Karlsson, Jones, Suter
- Jsaquella

With weber, suters, soon to be subbans contracts, no thanks. Jones, no. Karlsson, dynamic offensively as anybody but not who I want as a #1 defender.

Happens all the time. Same thing happened to Vandevelde this offseason. Saves teams a slot of the 50 limit until they know what they want to do.

I kinda thought it was gonna be that long. It just...felt like it.

- AllInForFlyers

I wonder if he gets into another game. Jake Patterson isn't bad. If they have success with him, they may stay with him for the playoffs. Really dumb move by Stolarz.

I'm talking purely as players. I think karlsson can be a fantastic two way defenseman in a couple years.

I like both a great deal. That was a hard one, which is why I left seabrook off the list

I'm with you on Jones, as he's had one year, and it's been up and down.

However, if we're going with contract and future outlook, then I'm adding Maata and Trouba to my list.

Then they can re-sign him to a 2-way deal?

If thats the case, great job. Leaves another spot open for signing college guys.

I think contracts have to be considered in the salary cap era.

Strange that he'd agree to that, but that's good news.

read somewhere that compared Folin to OEL. I don't see that at all.

Give me mcdonagh over karlsson and maybe pietrangelo. And I seriously mean that.
- rangerdanger94

You'd take mcdonagh over pietrangelo?? Did I just read that?

Exactly -- they have to leave one open for Folin, if he does come

Yes, in essence. If the Flyers want, he basically opts out of his AHL-only deal and signs a deal with the Flyers (technically not a "re-sign" but that's splitting penises...I mean hairs).

They do to a point, but I'd take Ryan Suter with his deal over a lot of other guys with better deals

It shouldn't even be a maybe. The guy's head-and-shoulders better (figuratively and literally).
