Also, and I'm telling the truth here- I know what I'm talking about...I was the Geography Bee champion in 5th grade.

Far be it from me to disagree with such an acclaimed geographer, but I believe New Jersey is located NEXT to Georgia.

This is going to be a great day on HB. Very interesting and amusing conversation so far. But I have learned something about the geography of the US, so that's a plus!

You know what I love... how Isles fans trumpeted how horrible Streit is and laughed at the signing.. Seems to have worked out pretty well IMO.

So when you guys say AMAC is horrible as well, I take it as validation that we made a solid move..

I'm in New Jersey which means Im technically standing in Europe.

You guys were all echoing this sentiment long ago. Amac is a third pairing defenseman at best that was completely misused by our moronic coaching staff. I hope your GM takes it as validation as well and signs a maybe third pairing Dman to a five yr five million dollar contract. That would be a great signing like Streit's. I'm pulling for this as well. We are rooting for the same cause, I don't see where the problem is?

Flyers are 6-2-1 since adding MacDonald. Maybe playing for a team that makes the playoffs more than once a decade agrees with him.

I think he's top 4 too. He's turned Luke Schenn's season around. They have looked real good together. Its allowed Berube to spot the Streit-Grossmann pairing in some better circumstances.

MacDonald should do well playing 2nd pairing minutes with an actual decent partner against the 2nd best scoring line of the opposition. Obviously if he plays 27 minutes a game against guys like Crosby and Ovechkin every single night with a partner that should be playing on the 3rd pairing, then yea he's gonna look like crap.

He's been getting more minutes recently. Coaching staff has been spreading out the minutes pretty well. Everyone is getting around 20 since he came.

Hockey teams are successful due to TEAM efforts. It's understandable that you can't comprehend this since your team is a 1 man show with just Tavares.

Not all of it, but he's stabilized the blue line and given the team the mobility and puck skills they sorely needed.

Might want to check again. He's averaging 20:26 a game as a Flyer, and only Timonen and Coburn average more.

So tell me more on why MacDonald is a 3rd pair defenseman? Other then he was traded from the team you root for, so he is no longer liked as a player.
