Last i checked he was on the third pairing nad his ice time wasn't particularly high. - Cptmjl
Brayden Schenn is our "2nd Line center", but Couts is more important and plays more minutes.
I think Mac-Schenn is our second best pairing. Doesn't really matter how they're slotted on the lineup card. They play as many or more minutes than Streit-Grossmann. |

Hockey teams are successful due to TEAM efforts. It's understandable that you can't comprehend this since your team is a 1 man show with just Tavares. - rangerdanger94

So you attribute your teams success to amac? - Cptmjl
Not really. They were playing well prior to the trade and it's continued since, and MacDonald has been playing a sizeable role for the Flyers since the trade.
He's averaging 20:25 a game since arriving in Philly, and is seeing regular time on the 2nd PP unit. He's second in ES TOI since his arrival, seeing one second a game less than the leader, Braydon Coburn, at ES.
So, yeah, MacDonald has played a role in the team's recent success. |

Hear you. Haven't watched too much of him since the trade. I'll be watching him tonight. Hoping amac and the rest of your team have a good game tonight. |

His acquisition has given the blue line an adequate mix of 2 way dmen and puck movers. it enabled the pairs to be much more stable, and stronger. No more hiding a pairing of Mez and Schenn that would be exploited. No d pair is being exploited right now, and I certainly believe Amac had a huge part to play in the that |

That's good. Hopefully he can maintain that. He was misused by our coaching staff to a large degree but was weak on the puck, along the boards, and on the PP. I'm happy he's not an Islander anymore and I'm glad he's working out for you guys. |

Flyers win 8-1. Lundqvist blames Staal for everything. Staal decides to sit out the rest of the season and requests a trade to the Canes.
Rags then sign Andrei Markov to a 7 year deal. |

Flyers have a ton of big defenseman. Schenn helps clear the porch and along the boards. They just need Mac to help with outlet passes. He's very good at getting the puck out of the zone against a forecheck. Thats something the Flyers desperately needed.
He may not be physical, but he's smart and will block shots when he needs to. |

Might want to check again. He's averaging 20:26 a game as a Flyer, and only Timonen and Coburn average more.
So tell me more on why MacDonald is a 3rd pair defenseman? Other then he was traded from the team you root for, so he is no longer liked as a player. - MJL
I am still waiting for a response as well to justify comments in the offseason that Streit was a horrible Dman and we were bonkers to sign him to that kind of money.
..meanwhile the Isles are back out of the playoffs, mismanaged the whole Vanek ordeal and are moving to Brooklyn which may or may not be part of Long Island.. lol.. sounds like a good time to be an Isles fan.. |

I wouldn't worry. Im not sure the Flyers have ever gotten more than 4 goals against Lundqvist. |

I saw an interview with Lundqvist before the game against the Yotes, and he was actually sitting on a throne. Wasn't wearing his King hat though.
I'm predicting a 28 save shutout for Lundqvist tonight, he will also smash his new guitar over Rinaldo's head, Honky Tonk Man style. |

Something must have happened on his initial trip to the Flyers, because he hasn't been weak on the puck as a Flyers. I can recall one bad mistake he's made since he's been here. |

Do you guys realize the Islanders traded Moulson, Top 5 pick or 2015 1st, 2nd rounder, and a 5th rounder for a conditional 2nd and prospect Sebastian Collberg.
Yikes, did someone hire Mike Milbury again? |
