Withering PPG for Fox - wow. - docmorgan
His season totals ain't to bad to boot
67gp 64g 43a 107 points
Good for leading goal scorer by a huge margin in the OHL, second overall in points.
Hope it translates to NHL success
Edit: anybody know whats up with these "apparent" off ice issues? |

Someone at HF posted this, interesting stuff.
Player A
Player B
Player A is Canucks prospect Brendan Gaunce and Player B is Hurricanes center Jordan Staal. Both were the same age during those 2 years, both big two-way centers. Not saying we should expect Gaunce to be the next J.Staal, but this comparison caught my attention, the numbers are very similar and both players play a similar game. - Nucker101
Jordan stall Is so much more of a stronger skater. Huge difference between the two players. |

Yup - it'll be difficult for Gaunce to crack an NHL lineup with his current skating ability, great hockey IQ though. |

Yeah, I agree. Hopefully the Canucks work on that with Gaunce. |

DeSean Jackson released. Wow. Eagles must know something that the public doesn't(gang activities) otherwise this makes no sense, why not wait until next year if they just want to save money for Foles? |

Summer with Gary Roberts and he will skate like Duchene. |

Seahawks will be a player for him... Best buds with Beast Mode... Limited options in the market... We should offer him a 1yr prove it deal with a chance to enter a better UFA market next offseason. |

Highly doubt that.
If he's an average skater in the NHL(not noticeably slow), he'll pretty pretty effective with his IQ and size. |

Hawks, Jets and Panthers are my top 3 guesses. IMO he works best with mobile QB's who can buy extra time for him to get open deep. |

Not being a skater or hockey player myself - question for you guys. Is it possible at Gaunce's age to still improve skating or is it something that is natural to some and not others?
You would think that it would be recognized by coaching staff that at his age and level of play that it is something that needs to be worked on. |

Check this out.....
There is a lot to unpack here. First the facts, uncovered by Eliot Shorr-Parks and A.J. Perez:
Jackson was contacted by an LAPD detective seeking information on a 2010 gang-related murder in Los Angeles. Jackson was not a suspect, but police believe he may have had information about a suspect in the murder, Theron Shakir. Shakir, a purported Crips member, is a rapper who has worked on Jackson's record label, and the two have been photographed together. (Shakir was acquitted of the murder.)
In 2012, another gang-related murder took place outside a party in Los Angeles. The building was owned or leased by a member of Jackson's family, and some documents belonging to him were found inside. Police attempted to contact Jackson, who was not a suspect, but were unable to get in touch with him.
Jackson had a previously unreported arrest in 2009 for marijuana possession, tinted windows, and disturbing the peace.
Then, there are the implications. The LAPD detective, Eric Crosson, clearly believes Jackson himself is part of the Crips gang. His evidence includes Jackson throwing up supposed Crip gang signs in photos, even on the field in NFL games. Also, the name of Jackson's record label—Jaccpot—because, according to Crosson, "Crips avoid putting a 'C' next to a 'K' because in gangspeak, that stands for 'Crip Killer.'"
According to Shorr-Parks and Perez, the Eagles are concerned that all of this has the potential for a very bad situation. They don't have to say it outright, since everyone else will, but Aaron Hernandez is on everyone's mind.
The timing of Jackson's release can't be a coincidence. The Eagles knew this story was coming. Once it was published, Jackson's trade value would become zero. (Or, more sinisterly, the "sources within the Eagles organization" that contributed to this story did so to publicly justify Jackson's release.) |

Yeah I already knew all about that stuff... Unless there's more personal involvement/guilt than "by association", I don't get why it's being publicized after his release. That's a Mike Gillis special right there...

You can still work on your skating. The most improvement that can be made is to have a stride coach. If he's already done that work, there is less that can be done. |
