And leuiwen looks semi promising. But he obviously needs more coaching. Puck/game control needs work. But I really like his movement, vision and demeanor.

I'm not going by Central Scouting or TSN. The Sabres have their own grades, like every other team does. Saying there ia no way we should draft Ekblad because he plays defense isn't my way of thinking.

You made a few interesting points on here. Theres no debating that we need top line talent up front, and the costliest piece is that top line center. Almost like a qb in the nfl. This is where a black and white question becomes gray. If reinharts gone, im looking for another team that wants to move up and take ekblad. I understand the idea of bpa, But even if the sabres scouts have ekblad head and shoulders above draisitl, bennett, and dal colle, I dont think we can trade a defenseman (a position of strength organizationally) for a top line center.

All depends on what Anaheim plans to do with Hiller. If he resigns before July 1, I think Miller stays a Blue.

I agree, but I see two dark horses...

Minnesota- esp if Vanek signs. Pommer + Suter & Parise... They also have some good young talent that's breaking into the NHL now. With Miller & Vanek they'd be true contenders.

Pittsburgh- if (when?) Fleury sucks again in the playoffs. They're already a top team every year... If they had a guy like Miller in the playoffs they'd most likely win multiple cups

It's Anaheim or StL... And he'll win a cup or two with either IMO

Thats wishful thinking im sure, but we cant come away from this draft with ekblad and no picks until the second round. I know they are just rumors for now, but being terrible next year and stockpiling picks may still not get us a mcdavid or eichel. Im not rushing the rebuild, just trying to get talent when we have the chance.

Thats wishful thinking im sure, but we cant come away from this draft with ekblad and no picks until the second round. I'm 99% sure NYI keep their pick
I could see us moving up from wherever the StL pick is, but not all the way into the top10. That would cost too much, but we can still end up with a decent player maybe around 20
