Awhile back Jason Botchford from the province and elliot friedman from CBC both wrote articles right when Santorelli was hitting his stride and racking up the points. They speculated that Gillis thought that Santorelli was a contract player, and would only perform on contract years so they had no plans to resign him. - classic321
The CBC speculating about the Canucks and Gillis, that would never happen. |

Friedman seems to get decent info from the Canucks. |

That would explain his offensive explosion last year |

http://www.vancitybuzz.co.../2014/01/santorelli-sign/
found this, from before his injury. Botch and Friedman stuff in it. Unless he wants a major raise or a long term, I don't see the problem. Unless they just want the "bigger, faster, stronger, younger etc" folk to take his place. who ever that may be. |

If gillis is a man of his word and he says they want to get younger then I don't see them resigning him as he is a year younger than Kess.
But then again if santorelli resigns that also speaks to the canucks thoughts and confidence on development of their 1st rounder's (horvat and gaunce). |

Henrik Burrows Jensen were on pace close to two goals a game in the last 4 games so Torts breaks them up
I know Hank is down but to bench one of your hottest forwards when you are on the verge of elimination.
Tell me mgmt is not on board with #tanknation. No one can be that stupid - VANTEL
Word.
Not the first Canuck to get caught out of position leading to a goal of late. |

I really like Santorelli but signing him is a lateral move and shows me they are not taking steps to progress.it would mean to me the return of Higgins Hansen and maybe bringing in one new player next year.it also means no trades of Kesler or Edler, so 10 th place it is again next year. |

Travis Kelce RT'd Jasons tweet & added "Liar!"... Then deleted it. No doubt Jason Kelce was asked to tweet that, probably right after the Eagles planted the character assassination stories in the media. - DrChristianTroy
This is almost as clever as the time you said Richardson had the best hands on the canucks, or that Schneider would never be traded. As always great insight.
I'm not a fan of this move, but to even suggest Jackson doesn't have character issues is prock like. |

Its coming. Just signed everything at the mortgage brokers after work today. Get possession of new house next Friday and have to be out of this one by the 14th.
3.04 fixed interest rate. That's crazy |

I don't know. If they can get Santorelli at around 1 mill, it seems like a nice move. Having him there doesn't hand a roster spot to Horvat/Gaunce/Cassels etc. They have to earn it. If they do earn it santorelli can be used in a lesser role, traded or sent down |

this is how I feel as well, Santo was pretty versatile. It is also a bonus if that means hensen isn't in the top 6. |

I would say go red wings. If Detroit wins tomorrow against the leafs then TML is (frank)ed. The panel said the other night the leafs have to go 6-2 to even have any hope and probably 7-1 to get in for sure
Has J Bold been in here to talk about how he only talks with fans of playoff teams? I bet Lums, Yeti, buff ate me and Co came in here and took their abuse like men. But J Bold, Gardiner and Systemmule are nowhere to be found |

The usual trolls have not been in here since the annual train wreck started, all of the stand up fellas you mentioned have been here commiserating with us.
Funny, the one extremely rare time that I want to catch a Leafs game and it's not televised. |

I never said he doesn't have character issues.
I said they planted today's story of gang affiliations. Perfect timing to justify a move that'd be unpopular with the fanbase. You love twisting my words... We've already been over what was meant by my comment on Richardson's hands. It was hyperbole to MAKE FUN OF the fact that Alexander Edler and his boring-ass gliding quick-release was a fixture in our shootout lineup. |

Dude the other day he posted videos and pics of himself throwing up crib signs and firing a hand gun ffs. I think Jackson is a game breaker but this is a move every team in the league should use as a example.
I'd love to see the league start punishing the team harshly when a player under contract with them is involved in off field issues. Obviously the scale is sliding depending on the crime.
Lets start with Aaron Hernandez. -Patriots surrended 2 1sts
The guy from the cowboys with DUI/Manslughter-1st or 2nd
And so on.

Ignorant as always
Hand signals don't make you a banger. Firing a gun doesn't make you a banger.
No way any league should be able to punish the development of a franchise for an individual's criminal activity.
