Caps were outshot and dominated a bit in stretches, but were able to keep Boston off the board -- Holtby made a couple of nice saves, including a 10-bell stop off an odd-man rush.
Good news for us: Boston's expending some energy in this thing, looking like they're engaged. So the Flyers might catch a team that isn't quite as refreshed as they could be tomorrow - AllInForFlyers
oh barf does this mean i have to hope for yet another OT/SO for the caps? |

No, I have them surprising everyone like normal, playing well down the stretch, and pulling second place in the division.
I just like to sit and watch everyone say they're going to suck in the next X amount of games. It's happened I believe 3 times in 2014. - Giroux_Is_God
I said 5-4 or 4-5; I don't think that's sucking, depending on who you play, how you're playing, how much you're on the road.
Would I love for them to do something like 6-3 or 7-2? Sure. And I don't know that they won't. But I don't think it's a criticism or negative to say that the Flyers could drop two to the Bruins and lose at St. Louis, for example

To think of how much was being pinned on James Reimer and to be honest, I didn't think Bernier looked that great last night. - johndewar

I think down the stretch, you're just looking to play well, first, and collect points, second.
I'd be more concerned with how they are playing at this point. |

Ha! Hmmm...since the Caps are brutal in ROWs...yeah, if Boston doesn't win this thing outright in regulation, it probably would be best for OT/SO
Good call on that |

Well, it's good to see we are not the only hockey market to ever pin disproportionate amount of blame on a goaltender.

Agreed -- definitely, they need to play better than they did last night, no matter how many points/wins they may or may not get

The Caps are trying really hard, giving a lot of effort. But they're just so limited at even strength, the B's just aren't giving them anything |

Iggy was an upgrade to Horton. I didn't see it last offseason, but it's obvious now. |

I wouldn't worry about the Leafs too much. They'll have to leapfrog at least 2 teams and they have 2 less games to play than all of them. |

God bless the Capitals, but from how this game has gone, I do believe the Bruins are about to apply the Sleeper Hold and make them tap out |

The Bruins can basically just make sure they shut down the Caps' top-6 and wait for their opportunities offensively. Then just clamp down and take what the game gives them.
At least with the Flyers, we have 3 lines that can score in any given game. Still, a few flying elbows from Erskine would be appreciated in the next 20 minutes or so. |

the leafs are finished, but i hope they win tonight. boston victory is better for us, and they're well on their way with a 3-0 lead. |

Good thing the Caps have Ovechkin instead of Bergeron. They'd have no chance the other way around. |
