Kuznetsov pads his stats with less than a minute left; 4-2 final, B's win

Caps with only 25 ROWs...they already were in a world of hurt, and now their pain is palpable

I guess no one really wants that last wild card spot. At least we know someone has to win tonight.

I'll definitely be watching that one -- curious to see the Nyquist kid for Detroit

The missus is out of town, so it's all hockey, all day for me

Up next: Sharks/Avalanche. Haven't seen the Avalanche for a few months, maybe, so I'm curious to see Nathan MacKinnon and how he's holding up as a rookie; heard some talk that he might be the ROY

One series is still going on but should Blainville-Boisbriand win their series (game 6 is tomorrow at 4pm) that who they should be playing in round 2

Which team is the biggest obstacle for Rimouski to make the Memorial Cup? Baie-Comeau?

Damn -- just turned the game on, see Joe Pavelski score his 38th of the year

Game's tied 1-1; missed the Avalanche goal

I'm still sour about Pavelski; needed one or two of those goals against Canada a month ago

I would love to see how Morin handles a series against Mantha or Drouin and Ehlers.

McKinnon is going to win. I don't even think its all that close. Palat, Krug and Lindholm have all been good, but just look at McKinnon's numbers. He's also a +20 or something like that.

Nate Guenin's played 59 games for the playoff-bound Avalanche this year

Just goes to show that if you don't give up, you could still make it

Guenin's 31 years old, played three full seasons with the Phantoms, 12 games with the Flyers over those three years

Thanks you two, have to say its nice to see Vinny bumped down to the fourth line.

They wont be able to win all of their games, especially with such a taxing schedule against solid teams. I just want to see Mason get into a nice solid groove down the stretch here. That will be key going forward.

Varlamov has developed into a solid goaltender, and if they can improve that D slightly look out. They can skate with the best of them, and aggressive team are always fun to watch.

I like them.

I'd rather play the Penguins in the First round than play the Rangers... IMO

I cheer for the logo/team and not for a single player. If LeCavalier didn't have the "history" attached to his name he would have been demoted a lot sooner.

Needless to say, I am not a fan. Although I do have to hope he finds a way to contribute consistently. He better, for that contract.

Looks like he's playing RW for them...interesting

They have Ryan O'Reilly and MacKinnon on the wings -- the Avalanche have the best set of natural centers in the league, with them, Duchene and Statsny, Talbot as a checker/PK guy

And Schenn is playing worthy of a 2nd liner?

What's their defense like, on the whole? Playing San Jose, who is one of the best teams in the league, isn't always an accurate gauge of a team against the average
