Does the Atom team also have 2 #1 goalies.
- A_SteamingLombardi

Nope, they traded them away for table scraps.

Go Wings Go! This is going to be a very entertaining game! Even more entertaining if the leafs lose!

Super pumped about this one. I hope it's a completely demoralizing defeat for them. Sadly, I might care, just a hair more, about the Leafs game than I do about the Canucks game.

F*ck did I just say that out loud?

Life... And the Canucks being out of the playoff picture. I'm only here cause I'm board at work. At least I get to watch hockey.

Just catching the Leafs/Wings game and was reminded of some of the discussions on here with respect to the Detroit scouting staff/drafting system, and whether they were in fact that good or if there was a combination of fortuity and just simply more comprehensive due diligence (I think someone on here (Fosco?) broke down the Detroit draft results over the last decade as compared to other teams during the same time period and it was interesting to note that, on paper, it really didn't seem like they were drastically better than the rest of the league (although they were nonetheless one of the better teams - Surprise Surprise!).

Whatever the basis of comparison was, the results obviously speak for themselves. And I'm just blown away as to the extent and wealth of talent the Wings have and have coming in. In particular:

Gustav Nyquist
Tomas Tatar
Danny Dekeyser
Tomas Jurco
Brendan Smith
Riley Sheehan
Jakob Kindl
Anthony Mantha
Calle Jarnkrok (since been traded)
Peter Mrazek

Does Holland have photos of Bettman in a Sailor Moon outfit or???. Mind boggling. Any comparables in mind with respect to a player like Nyquist? and what ridiculous overpayment would be needed to snag such a player? (doesn't have to be limited to the Canucks only, but what you think other teams might offer up)

Edit: if not Nyquist, who would be your second choice

They were getting too old so they gave their youth a chance to play. Sound Familiar?
