Nah - VANTEL
Because he's Swedish? I haven't watched him or read much about him yet but I'd never write someone off just because they were born from a specific country. |

Have you watched Jared McCann and Brandon Perlini play much? I've read lots of positive things about them without not many negatives. |

No Cedarholm is Swedish , I been tooting his horn ( any perverted comments and I will pay Yeti to ban you for a year. )
I just don't want to go off the board again , hire someone that has a high rating to succeed. |

Just trying to fit in, pretty much all of the trades offered he would easily get rejected(even the serious ones). |

Youngest player in the draft. Great size. Heavy hitter. Determined & tenacious forechecker who's known for finishing every check. Battles hard in the corners & in front of the net. Heavy shot with dangerous release. Swift skater. Leaves it all out on the ice. |

Kempe isn't really that off of the board. He's around the 15ish range and the Canucks will be picking around 10th. It's pretty wide open after the first 8 or 9 if you look at mocks and rankings on various sites. |

Sounds promising. What about his speed and IQ? |

His hockey IQ is apparently great in all zones. Great skater too. |

Look at the standings. Games in hand and canucks remaining games. I'd be shocked if we pick lower then 8th |

Ranked 23 on ISS - VANTEL
Means nothing. Hed be higher if he was stacking points against junior players instead of playing in the SEL. |

Ritchie kinda scares me, I feel like he could just be a big kid with inflated offensive production since he's bigger and stronger than 90% of the competition. Of course he has skill, but I think he's too risky there. I'd feel better taking Perlini or McCann over him.

I know little about him but I remember another Swede named Rodin who was touted in the SEL. Until they are competing against NA players I can't really say. We have a chance to pick top 8 and I. Don't like going after someone ranked 23 rd sorry ,won't be sold. |

I don't know man, Torts is coaching for his job and is a good motivator and these guys have shown too have pride.
Ehlers is who I want and picking 8th would give us some hope of landing him. I'll dig up some tweets about him:
Shots per game as a 17 year old in the QMJHL: MacKinnon 4.57, Drouin 3.53, Huberdeau 3.02........ Nikolaj Ehlers 4.49. @coreypronman
Ryan Kennedy @THNRyanKennedy
Talking to scouts today about Halifax's Nikolaj Ehlers; looking like a top-15 pick. One said "I don't want to compare him to Drouin, but..." |
