I'm assuming it's just reactionary by now.

I want to see his reaction after he realizes its a linesman

Exactly. I'm guessing he's just trained himself to overreact at this point.

I really can't be disappointed at all. They went to to toe with both of these contending teams. I do wish Giroux had taken the shot.. don't think Raffl was ready or expecting a pass there. Can't criticize too much though as Roux has been on a tear.
- Hextall271

I think Giroux was completely surprised by the entire sequence of events, actually.

Dude even exaggerates contact when he gets smacked, accidentally, by a linesman.

I heard he drew five-minute major on that...

I think Giroux knew he made a mistake just as the play ended. Miller was really on his game though. He just had one of those nights where he wasn't going to let a puck by him. He made every save look easy and allowed very few rebounds.

Quick question re: Ghostisbehere

If he doesn't sign with the Flyers after this season, is he officially a UFA? I think that's what happens with Gaudreau if he doesn't sign with Calgary after this season.

Giroux was too close to the middle of the ice. If he was off the far post, it would've been a longer way for Miller to go side to side. But with how close Giroux was to the middle of the net, Miller didn't have far to go to get to the other side, and Raffl was also to deep and at a somewhat bad angle by the time he let the shot go. Giroux was a little hesitant also. He's been a little off lately. But it's temporary I'm sure.

Well, the gif doesn't tell the whole story. While it looks like the linesman hit him in the face, what REALLY happened was that a Carolina player threw an invisible lasso around his neck and yanked on it a la Dwayne Robertson from The Mighty Ducks II. It was a 5-minute major for roping.

He definitely seemed to telegraph that one. He slowed down a ton to allow Raffl to catch up, basically letting Miller know that he was going to pass. He's seemed a bit too unselfish over the last few.

This is why I hate Crosby on a level that goes above and beyond the "he's really (frank)ing good and not on my team" reason.

It's not because he dives. It's not because he whines. Those certainly make him easier to hate, but far and away the biggest reason I hate #87 is because THIS is the poster child. This is the face of the NHL that I get force fed by all the networks and analysts.

That's infuriating and embarrassing.
