Is it confirmed that Lecavalier will still be on the fourth line tonight after he was put back on the second line last night?
I think, maybe, he should center the second line instead of Schenn after playing that well on the fourth line, but maybe just keep things the same since they seem to be working. |

Is there any report that he experienced a concussion? I assumed he just has general soreness and they want to save him for the game against Columbus.
He's left a number of games with injuries recently. Always returns though. - PhillySportsGuy
I just worry about their heads, considering the history here. I can imagine he'd have a stiff/sore neck after that. Certainly don't expect the jaw is broken or surely he would not have played the rest of the game. Poor Kimmo. He's a little giant. I just want them all healthy to START the playoffs. Too much to ask?

They need to make the playoffs first. I really hope Kimmo doesn't have a concussion though. Flyers have lost too many great players to concussions over the years. |

I hope Timonen doesn't have any significant injuries at all. If anything significant happens to him it will effectively ruin our chances of him wanting to return to the NHL next year. |

He was only moved to the 2nd line for a handful of shifts. I think it's a pretty safe bet that he starts the game on the 4th line. |

They're 1-0-1 with him on the 4C spot. They moved him there after the NYR game. Vinny's line has 3G, 2A, and is a +3. I'm okay with him staying there for now. I'm sure he'll see some time in the top-6 as the game progresses.
Also, as much as I like him, can someone please tell me why Tye McGinn is on the 2nd line? I like the guy and all, but he seems very out of place there. |

Yeah I was thinking that too. But I wasn't sure with how flyers management tends to do dumb stuff when things are working. My point was really that I hope Lecavalier stays in the middle of the ice. |

You mean who could take McGinn's place?
Well...I mean, as much as we joke about him and all..... |

I definitely hope they don't change it. I love that they can mitigate his weaknesses and get the most out of his strengths by hiding him on the 4th-line, but selectively bumping him up the lineup in offensive/late-game situations. |

I would consider that as well. That line is already protected more than any other line. |

I like him right where he is. I'm sure he's not thrilled about it, but thats the way it is.
It would be nice to get Downie back. He could go back to the third line and Raffl could be bumped up to play with Schenn and Simmonds. His speed and two-way play would be an asset to that line. We may be able to (gasp) use them in all situations. |

Absolutely. The only drawback is that, for some reason, the 2nd line has been largely invisible (aside from Schenn's missed breakaway) in the last 2 games (really, the last 3). I'm not saying Vinny was the reason, but McGinn just doesn't really seem to have a place right now. Maybe switching him and Raffl or, dare I say it again, give Akeson a shot at the 2nd line wing. |

Quick story: when I played in my first men's ice hockey league down at Skate Zone in Voorhees, I was a "free agent" so I had to attend a captain's meeting and get picked up by one of the teams. It just so happened that, in the hallway next to the meeting room (which had full-length windows) were the Flyers' Ice Girl tryouts.
The 30-minute meeting took 2 1/2 hours. - jmatchett383

Getting the most out of him would be playing him on the 2nd line as a Center. They aren't getting the most out of him by playing him on the 4th line. They are however getting more out of him on the 4th line playing him at Center, then they would playing him at 2nd line LW. And not sure what the weaknesses he has are, compared to the other option at 2nd line Center. |

I wanna know who that girl is that Shawn Gates (I think) sometimes has in his blog picture. Some blonde Flyers girl who's either dancing or...well, something else. |
