Holy (frank) - the game is in trouble when you can't finish a check and then immediately look down to try and find the puck. No hitting hockey for you I guess?
- LeftCoaster
usually if you are interested in getting the puck, you don't go into a check with your both hands and stick in the air |

he got a 5 minute major and game misconduct, must be because the officials hate the Islanders so much and the league has a vendetta against the Islanders that they called it that way right Butchie? - jimbro83
Just proved my point. |

Umm - yes you do, it happens every game…every game. Body contact is used for puck possession, guys get their arms and hands up all the time, how many face washes do you see in a game? I understand you're upset because your guy got hurt, I'm not a fan of Burrows, but the NHL will do nothing with that hit. Mark my words. |

Here is something to think about. We are 3 point out of top 6 overall and other teams all have a winning streaks but I project we will end up picking 10th or 11th.

22 Ottawa 75 32 29 14 27 78 218 250 16-15-6 16-14-8 4-4-2 Won 3 86
23 Winnipeg 77 34 33 10 27 78 214 226 17-15-6 17-18-4 4-5-1 Won 1 82
24 Carolina 76 33 32 11 32 77 191 211 17-15-6 16-17-5 4-4-2 Won 1 81
25 Nashville 76 33 32 11 31 77 190 229 17-17-5 16-15-6 5-4-1 Won 1 83

I think Canuck fans whine when their players take questionable hits and say it's good old hockey when they thrown them out pretty much all the time |

All fans bases do that, it's not reserved just for Canucks fans. |

I apologize on behalf of all Canucks fans if we thought that play was dirty when the puck was long gone about 100 feet from the play and the player was driven into the boards from about 20 feet out. That was a clean finish the check Boston Bruins hockey play. Once again I am sorry and we will never complain again. Also While we are at it, I also want to apologize for Daniel Sedin's bad behavior of putting his head in the way of Keith's flying elbow. We are sorry if we caused any damage to Keith's hardened plastic elbow protector. |

Boychuck was just finishing his check, I see nothing wrong with that. He's separating Raymond from the puck, that's his job. |

Like I said there was nothing wrong wit the play...he just drove Raymond into the boards that was about 20' away while the puck was long gone. But yeah you are right it was a hockey play. |

Meh, he didn't hit him that hard, more or less coasted to the boards with him. Just an awkward body position. Sucks he got hurt, but that's hockey. And the puck was in the area, the game is pretty fast. |

Neither the Canucks or the Rangers have great teams, but I'd say AV did more with what he had than JT. I definitely don't like his (JT) systems play or his bench management, AV is much better at it IMO. |

I don't like AV on the bench, does/says nothing. There is no actual coaching going on. I have no idea how he is in practice/preparation.
I worried before the season that JT was a force round pegs through square holes kind of a guy, he seemed to be getting the best of everyone early on but it looks more and more like my worries were justified... |

Riding the top 2 lines through the first half of the season did nothing, but give false impressions of what this team really was/is.
Eventually the top players tired, came back down to reality and/or got injured due to being overplayed night in and out.
This team lacked depth, and it eventually showed in the standings. I like a coach that can roll four lines and trust those 3rd and 4th lines, it allows you to prepare for a long season. |
