Perron has been one of the only bright spots this season. If he takes a few dumb penalties once in awhile I am ok with that. He has been the only one with a heart beat this year most games. This game wouldn't have been close if it wasn't for the Nuge finally playing a game to his potential. You want to blame someone blame the Nuge for finally having a good game 70 some games into the season. If you ask me losing by only one goal is a victory compared to what I thought the score was going to be. I have noticed Perron takes dumb penalties at bad times or 200ft from his net and isn't the greatest defensively most likely why the Blues let him go. This shows how bad the Oilers are, he is one of are best and the Blues just let him walk and haven't even noticed but in Edmonton he is a god. Sad - time2produce
Not all true. Perron does take some bad penalties but that's due to his style.
The Blues let him go for one reason and one reason only. Cap. |

Was good overall effort. Good to see Nuge finally break out. I was wondering if the extra weight was messing with his game. Takes time to adjust I guess. - Iggysbff
Did he actually put weight on during the season? I know he's listed at 185 but can't remember what he was last year. 175?
I think a summer to actually work out without a bum shoulder will be huge for him.
Id like to see hall at 205. |

It was probably a coin flip between him and Stewart as to who was going to be the cap casualty, and the boneheaded penalties (which created a lack of trust with the coaches and his teammates) was probably what put him over the edge. Basically the Blues decided to part way with the guy who did stupid stuff over the guy who did, well, nothing. Can't say that I miss either Stewart or Perron at this point. |

Other players could have left it didn't have to be Perron. There was more to it then cap. |

I'm sure that the emergence of both Schwartz and Tarasenko has helped with that. Blues have put together a really solid team. I still love their jerseys!
My hockey team growing up was named the Bedford Blues, so I always cheered them on, especially once those new style (same as what's worn now with the silky shoulders) came out! |

I don't think its his weight I think he is just not having the greatest year. His shot was his weak point offensively. You would think the weight would help with his shot. His speed, passing, hockey IQ have never been in question. |

I think maybe the Oilers offer for Perron had something to do with it. I'm pretty sure Mac T saw something he liked and made an offer for him. I don't think Mac T offered MPS and a 2nd for "whatever player you don't want on your glorious team anymore." |

In case you forgot Marincin, Gordon, and Scrivens. Klefbom, as well, but to a lesser degree. |

A very inaccurate statement. Cap space played a large part, but games like these happened all too frequently for Hitch's liking. |

You can thank one man for that... Eakins. Both Nuge and Eb excel on the power play and well eakins (frank)ed that up. I think these guys would each have 10-15 more points if we didn't run such a bad power play |

What's a Kledbom? Is this some Swedish nickname, or just an honest to goodness spelling error? |
