Would easily have 10 more points, then who knows after that as winning those games can have an effect on the players psychologically. So 10 more points puts them currently at 25th....get it straight Jero.

Probably true, but everyone last year talked about how good this power play was and they had below average 5on5. This year we notice how much worse or PP is and consider our 5on5 just average. People don't notice things as much unless it puts up goals

We're still bad 5 on 5. Pp at least helped keep us in games last year.

Can't say I miss San Jose all that much, but the Sharks and Marleau have proven me wrong with their multiple Stanley Cup victories. They've proven me wrong, and built a dynasty that will rank among the greatest of all time.

Oh that's right, the Sharks still haven't sniffed a Stanley Cup final. And Marleau hasn't been reinstated as captain after having the C stripped from him his chest years ago. My bad.

Although you're right, we're many pieces away, I'd argue we have a much clearer idea of where those pieces will come from/are much closer to getting them.

Take the defensive front for instance....with Schultz, Nurse, Klefbom and Marincin, there's an excellent chance we've already got the #3 dman thing covered. Heck, at the time he wrote that blog Petry was no more experienced that Schultz is now, so you could add him to that list.

Top 9 winger, it's quite possible that Pitlick, Lander, Khaira, Chase could fill that top 9 role.

It's very very unpopular as an opinion, but with the correct complimentary wingers I don't see a big 2C that necessary. And certainly, I think Nuge, someone and Gagner/Arcobello form a solid stable of top 9 centres, so I really don't see the need for two major centre acquisitions.

See at least with posts like this I had something to talk about and respond to. I wasn't being sarcastic saying I'd want him back, I'd take him in a second. I read and responded to every article he ever wrote for the Sharks, something I rarely do now.

At least Ryan doesn't just spout the same old politically correct fluff you can read on the AP articles, he actually has opinions and puts thought into what he writes. Are his opinions wrong sometimes? Yes, but everyone's are, and it's fun to discuss people's thoughts on the team.
