My friend had his surgery friday night...although he will have to live with some minor "séquelles" for the rest of his life, at least he will be able to walk.

so you started this whole Centre vs Winger talk?
- hamiltonhabfan

yes. i insinuated that a 85/90-point centre is really valuable. but i realize now that i was wrong.

Okay fine, 28 is not over the hill.

I'd still rather trade him for some young, top end prospects than some guy who's 28 is all I'm trying to say.

Yeah well they're in a good position to win the Stanley cup right now, I don't see what's bad about trading for a guy in his prime years.

i was wrong about him though. he's run of the mill. he was also a cancer in the dressing room who was tearing that team apart as evidence by the lack of on-ice success during his 3 years there. without Seguin Boston would have made 3 straight Cup finals. everyone knows that.

no no no. once they show signs the gig is up.

Remember when the Bruins clearly won the Kessel trade because they won the cup that year?

i don't even see what your point is. it was a hockey trade and it worked out for both teams.

and i know your "just make room for him" argument but he wasn't bumping bergeron and krejci.

No, when they start to decline, with 3-4 years left on a hefty contract, that's when you get top dollar.
