i don't see it that way. i don't look at a defenceman's mobility and his ability to move the puck as strictly an offensive component of the game. those are attributes that can be used in the defensive zone as well. against a heavy forecheck like Tampa's you need dmen who can get back quickly and move the puck out of the danger zone quickly. and when Beaulieu was up, he played pretty responsibly in that regard. didn't dazzle anyone offensively but looked solid on D.

But the bottom 2, which is where he'd be, are usually on the pk, and I don't see him making the same sacrifices as others are.
