Its possible, they do have some key injuries and Fleury has the potential to be Price like, for good or bad |

I think I prefer the matchup against PITs, looks to be a better fit in terms of playing style for the Habs. At least they certainly look better against the Pens than the laightgningne |

other than the last game, Habs have played TB well. I get the forecheck pressure etc. that give MTL fits to me its probably 6 one way half a dozen the other. I'd be more concerned about them freefalling down to 7th with 5 to go. |

Don't forget that this is the playoffs we're talking about and Tampa has a rookie coach, with a ton of rookies on the roster who don't know what to expect.
Ray Ferraro said it best, (paraphrasing).
When it comes to the playoffs, no matter how prepared and ready you think you are as a rookie, you're not. It's a whole other animal. His first playoffs gae featured other 1st time players like Pat Verbeek and he recalls that Hartford thought they were ready but literally went more than half of the 1st period without a shot on net.
My point of this is simple. Frget about how teams played one another in the regular. Forget about how Montreal couldn't score against Tampa but beat Boston repeatedly. This is the playoffs and the game is completely different. It won;t be wide open but all low scoring, hard checking games where guys like Murray will excel because of the clutching and grabbing which is permitted.
There is a reason why guys like Moen, Prust do well. The whistle is put away and the slower, grizzled veterans know how to get away with things. |

Its true vets should excel, but the POs vs. Reg season reffing is a bit overblown, its like a difference of .5 PPs (5.6 vs 5.1 across the league or something close to it) over the course of a game, although since 2005, the trend is getting back towards the difference that was the case in the 90s |

One thing that sticks out to me though. If Tinordi had of cost the team a chance in a tight game with a stupid penalty like Murray's would he ever see the ice again? |

Scores are the same. Wonder what the stats are for PP's in reg vs playoffs.
All I am saying, is the playoffs' are a different animal. I don't care how teams matched up during the regular season, it stars from 0. It's about adjusting, and coaching and taking advantage of little nuances in the game that can make the difference. |

Maybe they don't want to expose Tinordi to this just yet?
I mean, maybe they shelter him (too much) ?

A rookie and a veteran will never get the same treatment.
That's the way it is with every team. |

No,
I remember people saying they'd make the playoffs easily in the Eastern Conference though. |
