He like the favourite or something?

There is no favourite tbh, he's the leader of the Quebec Liberal Party which is the popular party for the Anglo population in Quebec.

Yup. The Liberals here have had a lot of corruption issues recently (they're all corrupt), and it's pretty much saying that if he is elected he'll screw everyone. Of course they all do, but some like to keep the idea that only the Liberals do that.

saw that too 'quebed' salright. I do think youre wrong re. popular....just not a separatist...re.anglo is harsh too. I would think if you could find a responsible party that wasn't partisan or at least had some realistic world view regardless of language affiliation you'd have a drubbing. Folks just want to be a part of the 21st century regardless of language.

Couillard has always been popular amongst the population, they like his 'Good Doctor' behavior. He was one of the few Liberals I could endure when they were in power with Raymond Bachand. He was one of the few who dared disagree with Charest. I lost some respect for him when he went straight to the private sector a few weeks after resigning from his Minister of Health position.

I thought he used the referendum card too quick, and he probably did, but as Michel David from Le Devoir said earlier tonight, he was thrown a floating one right in the middle of the plate and he made an home-run out of it when PKP came in claiming sovereignty with the fist held high.

Looks like it's all but guaranteed Charest's team will be back in power, let's hope it's a minority government.

I did mean popular as in get a lot of votes, because like you said they aren't separists. Not popular as in liking them.

Edit: hagreed with the rest.

I like their chances of getting home ice.

Aside from that brain fart in Tampa, they've been pretty well.

The habs should forfeit their remaining games.

They clinch a playoff spot by losing to the Bolts and then move into 2nd place on a night they aren't playing.

The tampa game was a fluke but they played so well previously that they deserve the benefit of the doubt. Let's see what they do tonight and, more importantly, tomorrow against Detroit who is God's favourite team. Will be divine.
