4 of the top 5 picks in that draft were Flyers. - PLindbergh31
Think we can talk Owen Nolan out of retirement?
I just looked...we had 10 out of the first 18 on the Flyers.

He still haunts us.
Did that SchennBros dude get the 2 years suspension he feared...or something like that?
This place confuses me...

Maybe. The board has been void of team-crippling trade scenarios recently. |

Late to the party and I don't care...
Have I told you lately how much I despise shootouts? Win or lose, they remain a horrible way to decide hockey games.
- Bill Meltzer
If last night's game doesn't serve as the straw that breaks the shootout camel's back, I don't know what does. It is an absolute joke that a fantastic hockey game, any hockey game, is settled by a breakaway contest. The league should be ashamed of itself. |

That might be more realistic. Out of that group of 4 how many do you think will eventually be NHL regulars? - PLindbergh31
I think Morin will at least be a 6-7 guy just by virtue of his movement, size and disposition.
Ghost I can see landing anywhere between just slightly short of Duncan Keith to Danny Syvret.
Alt and Hagg... I'm not as confident about. |

Morin better be more then a 6-7 guy. |

I think Alt is the "safest" bet out of them. I saw him play, in the preseason, which has to be taken into consideration, and he looked like he belonged. I couldn't figure out who he was, and then I found out and was a bit shocked. I think he'll compete for a spot next year. - jmatchett383
Alt has played more hockey and is 3+ years older than both Hagg, and Morin. You would expect him to be more polished at this stage.
I think Morin is going to be hit, or miss. This early in his development I think the best sign is for a really big kid, he skates fairly well by all accounts I've seen. |

I see Ghost as more of a Jack Johnson type. I don't think he'll ever be as complete as guy like Duncan Keith (even just short of him). I'd love to be wrong, but that's just how I see it. |

I think Morin's floor is a little higher. He's big and has good speed for his size. He's not offensively gifted (yet), but he doesn't handle the puck like its a hand grenade.
I think his physical abilities will help him become an everyday defenseman. We'll see how much more he can develop. |

Alt may never be a top-4, but I feel he could challenge for a bottom-pair spot (or first call-up) next year. I only saw him once, but I liked what I saw. |
