Norris who? and what position does he play?
- BiggE
Well...he's been dead for 52 years, and never played a minute of NHL hockey. However, he did effectively own the Red Wings, Blackhawks, and Rangers simultaneously. That's gotta count for something. |

Alexandre Daigle says hi! - BiggE
Alexander Daigle at least produced, just not to his expectations. Taking Patrick Stefan #1 overall instead of either of the Sedin's, to this day, is probably the worst #1 overall ever (at least since the WHA merger). |

Eh, I'm done arguing what's top-4 and who's reliable.
Mark Streit is an offensive defenseman who can, in the correct matchups, be fairly effective defensively. - jmatchett383
Pretty much my thoughts on Streit. |

Too bad he couldn't have swapped the Hawks and Rangers for the Leafs and Canadiens. He would have won every friggin cup but one from 1942 to 1969!!

I guess, but at least Stefan tried. That's more than can be said for old Alex. |

I'm sorry. He's been dead 62 years.
I'm only an engineer, these 4-digit subtraction problems are above me. |

Probably. It's just that Stefan never put up good numbers. Then again, that draft was incredibly weak in the first round (after the twins, Havlat is the best player). |

Brain Lawton has to be the worst... Stefan was bad, but that draft was pretty crappy. Taking Lawton over Yzerman, Neely and LaFontaine is as bad as it gets in retrospect. |

As I said yesterday, I was a film major. I have to take off my shoes just to count to 20!

What was that, 83? I don't think I ever saw Lawton play, so I guess I can't really rate him. But as a top pick relative to the rest of the field, you're probably right. |

Well, I'm sure you don't have time to count when you've got that 25-page paper due in 6 weeks.
Just joking, I know all majors have their own demands. |

He was like the Wayne Gretzky of high school hockey, lol. Hit a brick wall in the pros.
Man, that Stefan draft was hilarious... I remember the Rangers thinking they were set up so well because they took Lundmark and Brendl, lol. |

Are these airbags reliable?
Yes, but not for head-on collisions. |

What wasn't so hilarious was drafting a goaltender at # 22 that never won an NHL game when Ryan Miller was available in Round 5.

In the scope of that draft, it wasn't that surprising -- that 1st-round was like a whos-who of busts. |
