At least you were alive (I think) for 74 and 75. I just want one before I die. God, that sounds very Toronto-ish of me. - jmatchett383
i was. born in august 72. while it's great for the franchise that we have cups and all that...i didn't even know what hockey was until 1980, so i don't really count this. it's just been too long. this franchise NEEDS another cup. |

totally agreed about Primeau's goal being greater than Gagne's in terms of feeling.
man that was my favorite flyers game ever. would've killed to be at that one. must've been unreal. - Crimsoninja
for me, this is without question my favorite live flyers game ever, obviously because of how it ended. had they lost, it would have just been another in a lost list of heartbreakers (my first home flyers playoff game, and last ever flyers game at the spectrum was game 5 against the devils in 95 - ie, lemieux goal). it was amazing - even louder and more emotional when he tied it than when harntell tied game 6 against chicago...why, i don't know...it's just how i experienced it.
man, what a moment. watching it brings tears to my eyes every time. |

I got a new gun on it's way to the dealer as we speak! They're like tattoos, once you get one you get a ton then regret some of them.

2010 was awesome
but 04 gave me more of a total destiny feeling.
will never forget JR getting interviewed on the ice after scoring that OT goal against Toronto and saying "that's two (series) down, Philly, two more to go"

If we do, I can literally (yes, literally) die fairly happy. I've done everything major that I wanted to in life (college, car, house, children) and now I just want The Cup. - jmatchett383

i was at game 4. when they won that game i had a bizarre feeling they could pull it off. 10 minutes into game 7 i was on the verge of eating cyanide. |

Murray got 3 games.

I hope they revisit suspension lengths at the end of the season. 3 games seems so insignificant for such a heinous act. |

That Lemieux goal..... Did he shoot that from outside the blueline? What a softie that was. |

10 minutes in, I still felt the team had a chance. Once that JVR goal slid under Rask, I knew they were going to come back. |

I think I was born without most emotions. I only feel what other people feel. If I'm alone I only have 3 emotions. Happy, horny, and curious. |

Dear God I'd hate to know what happens when you're alone and all 3 of those emotions hit at the same time. |

i believe he was just inside the line, and i'm convinced it ticked off dykhuis' stick. what's worse is that lemieux was able to get the pass and go up the wall only because he dragged lindros to the ice off the faceoff on the left side of brodeur right before that. he got away from him and lindros couldn't catch him. Dad, coming down the basement stairs: "See ya next year, eh? Man...this is the worst game to forget to show up in"
Me: "Just wait. If they get one before the intermission they're still in it..." |

i said we'd all go to a game in the scf and it would be my treat. (please note i said this BEFORE the terrible disheartening loss we witnessed in game 3)
and i made good on my promise. sarah and i and dan went to oregon diner afterward and had grilled cheeses in giroux's honor and then for some reason sarah and i stayed in a hotel and watched the highlights over and over on the tv
WHY ARE YOU GUYS MAKING ME THINK ABOUT THIS AND FEEL SADDDD
