he is our only top 6 player that I like his style and appreciate, the effort. I like his game. He has fallen off some ,but he is one of the few players on this team that gives his all on every shift. If he got rid of hair pulling and biting , and two mil off his contract he would be perfect - VANTEL
For 4.5 no way. He puts in a great effort though I will give you that. He has matured but still not the guy I want in that role. Not a 1st line player. 3rd liner 1.8 to 2.2 is all he would have ever got out of me. |

There would be little return - VANTEL
This UFA class of dmen sucks, someone is gonna give Markov's old fragile ass a big multi-year contract, Niskanen might get 4+ per year, and etc. |

Then gtfo. - Fosco
Is that what it takes pi$$ you off and you come out of hiding? |

No one on the team compares when you talk about playing with heart. I liked his game with Jensen. he is also very good for young players. It would be interesting to see him next year on a line with Burrows Cassels and Kassian |

I could think of a couple but he does play with heart. I respect that. It doesn't mean I have to like the rest of his game. |

If you unload the twins and Kes, does Burrows want to stay? he may ask for a trade. |

I wouldn't mind him, but as a #6 guy at best. Ideally a 6/7 guy. |

Vantel - if GMMG is true to his words, and he's still employed by the Canucks, with a new coach and a return to a more offensive minded game the Sedins will be 70+ point players again next year. |

I'd be happy if they can get back to 60+ at this point, Daniel's goal-scoring has gone down the drain. |

Then gtfo. - Fosco
Monsieur Fosco, good to see thee back . During your absence theories abounded as to your whereabouts. Some were insisting you'd been kidnapped by a band of cocoa-hoarding Bavarian gypsies who demanded you relinquish your entire chocolate stash or your beloved yak 'Cornelius' would be shipped off to an Uzbekistan brothel
While others maintained you had been accosted for fondling Sears underwear mannequins, and as part of your probation, were denied access to the Internet and/or any Sears catalogues
And then there were rumours that you had gone over to the dark side and had a gigantus Dione Phaneuf tattooed on your forehead, burned all your Edler paraphernalia (including your highly coveted mini-chocolate Edler figurines), and started working as a Maple Leaf mascot
Lastly, it was even suggested that you were forced into a witness protection program with a new name and occupation (Frisco Wankbone Jr, proprietor of mobile asbestos underwear kiosks in downtown Moose Jaw).
Glad to see these were merely rumours (or were they?? ). In any event, welcome back and looking forward to a voice of sanity (on occasion ) |

"Just" getting to pick and choose your desired destination makes all the difference when negotiating a trade. It's rumored Kesler supplied 6 teams he'd consider going to and 3 of them weren't interested in tabling an offer.
Gillis having to shoehorn a deal with 1 of 3 teams (or even 6) vs 1 of 29 teams is all the difference in the world when finding the best return for the team.
Unless Kesler broadens his list of destinations substantially it's more than likely we'll be getting a lesser return than Kesler's actual value. Same goes for Edler. - AlexF
Then they should just keep him. |

With the minuscule number of 30 goal scorers in the league right now, I'd be happy with 20 goals 50 assist by Dany. That's very doable for him, he's got 14 in his worst year in years.
Canucks need multiple 20 goal guys to be relevant again. Look at the top teams vs the bottom teams, depth depth and more depth. Hockey IQ, skill and speed. |

His interview sounded genuine. Which in my mind means he hasn't had full reign. Lets hope the changes needed are coming if not we are in for some long Aquilini years. |
