Agreed. But there was a 50/50 chance in Game 6. Leighton let that goal in, which was awful. If he makes that stop (which he will 99% of the time), who knows.

If you're up 5-2 with 6 minutes left, your #1 thought should be playing air tight defense, not "I need to nail the next guy I see," regardless of momentum. A stick check or the use of positioning to force the player into a position of weakness are much easier to do that to lay a big open-ice hit.
