Oh, absolutely. But one of the reasons why Akeson isn't up is his lack of foot speed and lack of defensive game. The Schenn/Simmonds line usually draws 3rd/4th defensive assignments, and they aren't particularly fast. With what McGinn has (or hasn't) been offering, I'd give Akeson a quick look.
