I like Alizee. Or at least used to. I'm so tolerant of the French.

Creed, Nickleback, Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, every other new rock band out there, etc. they all sound exactly the same, but for some reason every hates just Creed and Nickleback.

All the pop music sounds the same. There is a decent song here and there.

All in all. New music sucks.

It's because, aside from being awful musically, Nickleback, specifically Chad Kroger, is probably the biggest douchebag in music. And like I said, Creed was actually sued for a live performance they gave.

Ive seen Creed live 3 times (all at festivals where I was there to see other bands) and they actually aren't that bad live. A lot better than on the radio. Their guitarist is really good actually. Especially when they do their heavy metal music and you can't hear too much of the singing.

And calling nickelback bad for the singing being a douche is asinine. I love Metallica's music even though the lead singer is a douchebag. It's just because Nickelback is so popular for sounding so average that people hate them for no reason.

She's attractive but in a much different way than pop stars. Google her. I would much prefer listening to her than the others mentioned today

I can overlook Metallica's entire band being douchebags because they put out 4 of the best metal albums of all time. But when you are at a concert and announce, "If you don't like Nickleback, you hate rock and roll!" or chastise people for bringing kids to your concert, you take the cake.

Mark Tremonti is arguably one of the best, if not the best guitarist in contemporary rock. For those who know about Alter Bridge and Tremonti (his solo project), you're aware of the scope and magnitude of his playing and solos.

As for Creed and the suing, it was Scott Stapp being too wasted to even sing.

Marianas Trench.

Take a listen to And So It Goes and No Place Like Home.

Vocal heavy...their harmonies are incredible and their music is very reminiscent of Queen with the tempo and time changes and vocals, and 2 of their 3 albums are concept albums.

EDIT: No I don't think they sound like Queen, but their music structure reminds me of them.

Meh, they have some good songs, I guess I'm just not sure what "metal" is any more.

I'm gonna go ahead and stop you right there. Fine, you think Creed is good in person. I'm not going to agree, but that's your personal opinion. Nickelback isn't widely loathed for no reason. Play any two Nickelback songs at the same time. There's no difference. Christ... there's a Flash app out there that'll sync any two songs of theirs up for you. There's no originality. There's no substance. This is the definition of corporate rock. Like them if you want, but don't pretend that there's no valid reason to hate them.
