When Turgeon was drafted, I was 6 years old. Sorry I didn't know his name was the tin man. I'm pretty sure I was more interested in things like coloring than I was a hockey players nickname.

So let's just make trades for the sake of making trades and hope we hit . Murray has made trades . And with his talent for talent evaluation. I am sure more will be made. Let's just trade everyone Irish does not like !

Draft, FA and trades.........can't just be the draft? After the next 2 draft's we should be pretty much set with talent. But just can't be a team of 19-22 year olds?

God dammit, the Edmonton excuse for you guys needs to stop. The reason the Edmonton Oilers are still poop after these years of high picks is because of idiotic management. They selected WAY too many offensive players (AKA Yak over Murray), and failed to address their goaltending situation. You want to look at young teams and see how they perform with decent management? Look at Pittsburgh in 08 and 09, with PLENTY of young guys. Chicago's cup winning teams, captained by Toews, led by Kane. Look at Colorado this year. They make Landeskog the youngest captain in NHL history, and look where they are now.

When done properly, the draft is THE best way to get a team back into playoff contention. We seem to be following the correct path, so why the hell do so many people have to be immediately against it?
