That's because you don't build through FA. You build through the draft, then add to that with FA.

We still need a starting Goalie that can stay healthy.The guys in Washington were questioning if Holtby would still be a Cap come next year.Id still like to see TM try and get Holtby if the Caps put him out there.

That is the correct approach imo. Murray needs to build this team through the draft but also has an eye on a few trades to build the team his way. He might sign a fa this summer but no big splashes.

We seem to be ok in goal next year with Neuvirth, Enroth and Lieuwen. If you go after Holtby, one of Enroth or Neuvirth will be moved. There is no guarantee Halak re-signs in Washington so I would think Holtby stays.

That's kinda where I was going with this as far as a waste of time talking about free agents and the Buffalo Sabres this season.Agree on Ehrhoff as well.Im not wanting to move Hodgie or Ennis under any condition either.

I don't see Enroth ever being the answer here and not sold on the already injured Neuvirth.Lieuwens got a nice attitude but looks a bit lost fishing for the puck and the only thing saving him is his size. I think if nothing else Holtby would be a fan favorite and Nolan type of player here altho I know it might be a kind of long shot getting him.
