I think it will become easier to entice players here, we will have to overpay for the next few yrs though. Look at the Harbor project, once players that love to play see all that's going on in the name of hockey their attitudes will change.....look at Detroit, players certainly don't go there because of the city/location.

Great article. As a Canuck fan, I love what you guys are doing and wish we would do the same. You still have to move the Ehrhoff albatross. Any opinions on Hodgson and Leino? I was at the game last week in Vancouver and they were invisible. I liked what I saw in Ristolainen.

Ehrhoff is a tough one.. his contract amount is not bad it is the length. we need vets and he is one that is locked up. Supposedly he is not happy though so that isn't good out of a vet. If buffalo trades him the recapture if he retires is bad, but i don't know if it is worse than if he stays either..

Leino better be bought out at the end of the season.

Hodgson needs more talent around him. He has been on lines with 4th line players most of the season. he is not a top line center but if we can get enough talent to where he is on the 2nd or 3rd line we will be fine..

Ehrhoff isn't an albatross. That's just sour grapes talking. With his cap hit, he's easily movable. There were many suitors for him at the deadline, but he wasn't a focal point for Murray. He could very well get moved this offseason and probably for a decent haul.
