In 34 games lol, he's four months older than Connor Brown, they're both 20 yrs old.

Neither will probably ever play in the NHL and Brown was a 6th round pick, settle down young fella.

- LeftCoaster

\now in 62 games, this is the first time he has ever been a ppg player.

not to rain on your parade but brown has outproduced fox pretty much every year, leading the team in points back to back seasons. If he puts on some weight I can see him being a top 6 forward in the nhl

Dion and Gardiner aren't worth a 3rd, unless someone retains 4 million in salary.

It has practically killed his trade value. the former nucks blogger talked about getting a top 5 pick for Edler at the draft, now I doubt a team would offer anything more than a 2nd rd pick with some salary coming back

If they lose the rest of the remaining games, the Leafs season will be just as irrelevant as the Canucks, i.e no playoffs.

Was there a point to that statement?

Today is the anniversary of Gretzky breaking the NHL point record with his 219th point back in '85.

Ah the memories, eh?

219 freaking points man!

That's more than our top 6 combined this season (Note: not sure if accurate but it sure friggin' feels that way).

Holy poop, sheep much?

Fans and media have speculated. Thats all. Not at all surprising people have already chiseled it in stone as fact.

Lets follow what Gillis has said about Canucks style. He comes in and says AV has to change to a more offensive game. The season after our elimination in the final after trading away Coho and bringing in Pahlsson he says the NHL changed and we need to play a more defensive game. Fast forward to this disaster season. Gillis now says we have to change to a more offensive game....

People are so easily distracted from what has happened in front of their nose. The only reason some people have seen all this coming is they paid attention.

- boonerbuck

There is no doubt moving goal posts in terms of what the NHL seems to allow from one year to the next. Three factors killed the Canucks against the Bruins-- 1. They ran out of bodies 2. The diving and whining caught up with them. 3. Lou could keep his $hit together for ONE game in Boston / AV wasn't smart enough to start Schneider 1 game in Boston.

That said... Paisans hang together through thick and thin. There is no way Gillis hired Torts. I know for a fact that Gully was Gillis call. You REALLY think Gillis hired Torts?

If goaltenders still did that half-assed standing kick thing, Crosby would be a 300pt player. Games from that era are a joke to watch. They play like div 10 players @ 8 rinks.

Not to mention that the NHL goalie equipment in Gretzky's day is the equivalent of the toddler street hockey equipment we see on sale in Canadian Tire today.
