I propose a blockbuster deal
Gillis
Torts
Kesler
To leafs for
Nonis
Carlyle
Kadri
And a first - Redmile247
Not possible. There are 3 certainties in life... Death, taxes, and Nonis' next job is Brian Burke's current job. |

That's a large reason why I don't want Lawrence Gilman as GM (as had been suggested by some). That and he just isn't a great hockey mind. - AlexF
Does Gilman even have a hockey mind? I know he's had hockey jobs for a number of years, but he was always represented as a "cap" or numbers guy. Did he play the game? Does he have a nose for talent? |

I think Henning is more of a "gm" than Gilman but I want neither running this team.

Aquillinis should be included in the poll. This season is partially on them for insisting Torts be the coach. |

Nonis hasn't made a good trade/UFA signing in a long time. His time is up.. |

I just think MG has had his chances already and his time is up. If they gave Torts a five year contract then I think he deserves a bit more time and a chance to change his style and see where the team goes. I recall AV was very defensive-minded in his first couple of years and was asked to play more up-temple offensive hockey and that turned into the great 2010-2012 seasons. - Sashimi23
Torts has been a disaster. Unless the goal is McDavid, which could be a worthy goal, this team will completely collapse if he stays. Just the Heritage classic goalie decision shows his head is up his a$$. Were the Canucks really in a better position to win with Lack playing that game? Didn't her realize that there would be a backlash? Didn't he see it potentially impacting Lack as well? And there are obviously other stupid decisions. |

Why play top players so much? Torts: It depends on depth. There were some games I played the Sedins 24 mins. Do I want to do that? no

Tortorella has made as many public blunders as Mike Gillis has; one he went into the Flames dressing room (or he tried), two he threw the entire line-up under the bus (especially David Booth) the first game back from suspension, three he's stubborn to the end in that he'll never admit overplaying the top players and underutilizing the bottom six players.
Need I go on - Gillis and Torts are both a bunch of hot air!!! |

GILLIS MUST GO!!!!!..then let the new GM decide Torts' fate - Canuckfan2006
IF Gillis is the only one fired, Torts will likely sit in on and have a say in the GM hiring process & IMO that can't happen. 1 step forward 10 steps back. Both need to go. |

....Mike Gillis has made this Canucks team a laughing stock of the NHL, 2yrs ago he insisted LUO was going to be traded, never happened til recent...Trades away#35...and trades away #1, ...Lack is not a Starter! ...and insists on moving #17, I hope Aquilini Fires Gillis! |

They're not talking to the public, both of their comments seem directed to the Aquilinis. Time to blow it up, ask the Sedins to retire and trade everyone else, let the Aquilinis make the trades it's their investment/toy. |
