I just really am done with Holmgren.
I don't care what kind of good things he has done, you have glaring mistakes in Bryzgalov, Luke Schenn and LeCavalier, just for recent things.
Far too many mistakes from management on how to spend the cap of this team, and the moves they make. He makes some good deals, but there are far too many bad one's. - flyer_nutter
Pshhhh... You aren't allowed to bring up failed trades after losses. It was a new rule instituted in yesterday's thread. |

down right terrible to watch right now .... they need to get there heads on right or 9th place would be lucky they are dropping like a stone right now - flyer186
they're fortunate they have a little cushion and have had some games in hand.
if they don't pummel the sabres tomorrow...well, then they probably don't deserve to make the playoffs. |

Led by Vinny? Schenns been our worst player since the Olympics. - Flyersgod
he's been horrible. when he's not scoring goals 6" from the goal line he's not doing much else. |

don't be fooled. the cap isn't hampering the flyers from making moves they want to make. - hammarby31
I want them to win as a fan. However there are far too many mistakes from management. I don't care how many decent moves Holmgren has made.
Bobrovsky
Bryzgalov
Luke Schenn/JVR
Kubina
LeCavalier
Most expensive D core in the NHL that is far too slow and one dimensional
Reserve to hold judgement on Streit and AMac
Just far too many stupid moves. This team runs on hot streaks and cold streaks which is alright for a growing young team. Problem is, stop making stupid moves that stunt that overall growth. |

This team has been defined by its hot streaks and cold streaks.
That's a fact. That is alright for a growing young team, but stupid moves time after time by management hinder the overall growth.
Holmgren and the management crew are saints though. |

He could redeem himself by trading the schenns together for Weber. |

That first line, and first PP unit has carried them all year.
The issues now surface when those guys aren't getting it done. Cant always just rely on that crew for everything.
Where is that secondary help 5 on 5? Or 2nd PP unit. - flyer_nutter
It should be there....agreed.....but your best players can't disappear for four games in a row this time of year....and they are just invisible....

schenn should be demoted.

Haha I know you were Hammar.
No worries. They at the very least are in the control of their destiny.
Say what you will about people not female doging during hot streaks, but the fact remains. This team lives and dies on its hot and cold streaks. That's been the norm for too long, and the stupid moves by management just stand out more on cold streaks. |

Well, boys, here's the deal:
We're all Hurricanes fans for the next eight hours. They win in regulation tonight, and the Flyers get two points tomorrow, and that would be the killshot on New Jersey as far a we're concerned (EDIT: Messed up the math. The Devils still live, even if that happens. They could still get 90 points)
Toronto...well, they've still got the problem of games played, and they're still a point back of the Flyers even if they win tonight, which I expect them to do
All hell breaks loose if the Flyers drop two points to Buffalo tomorrow, though, because the Leafs really could make it if the Flyers get nothing tomorrow |

No, teams are throwing everything they can at that #1 Giroux line. As they should.
Do they need to be better? Yes. However I think those guys get some more slack than the secondary crew of lines 2/3 who has done jack poop for the majority of the year. |

Another genius Holmgren move?
Lets keep the old coach, on a try-out for a few games then fire his ass not giving the new guy the off-season he could have had to instill his system.
I believe in a lot of the guys on this team, however there have been far too many moronic moves from management the hinder/stunt the growth of the team. |

This I agree with. Lavy should never have seen the bench this season. He should have been let go after last season.
