But the Kesler deal should happen regardless of what position we finish.

The discussion is using another asset to move up in the draft , whereas if we lost we wouldn't need to use another asset.

I'm not in favour of moving up but rather acquiring another first round pick, does that make more sense?

This is what I don't understand about all these people CRYING about goalies. Lou and Schneider were tying up way too much money. How many teams win when they have that kind of money tied up in goalies? I would rather have a stacked D Core. The playoffs are a war and you will need extra bodies to go all the way.
