I agree and would welcome vanek. - moylander
What about Jagr instead? He'll cost less and be on a one year deal. Plus, he has chemistry with Hartnell and Giroux
Edit: Also, a natural RW, which would push Jake to the second line. |

No, he was still pretty big. Yeah, Ralphie has to watch himself, as well. - Jsaquella
Every time I heard Pinette do the Chinese buffet routine, I would crack up. He was really funny. Shame to hear of his passing. I'm guessing he was in his late 40's? |

Considering they took a serious run at Parise, I can see a run at Vanek. They would have to move out Vinny's salary and make some other financial moves, but something I think about. G as a top line center probably has the worst sniper on his line out of Crosby, Malkin, Getzlaf, and G. Not a knock against Voracek, I just don't think he will every be a 30+ goal scorer. As a second line winger paired with B. Schenn, I think could be very dynamic.

great casting. and damone didn't do much after that. neither did ratner. - hammarby31
I saw Ratner in some stuff after that, don't think I ever saw the guy who played Damone in anything else. |

Rat was in Police Academy 4, Damnit
I've seen Damone pop up on TV here and there. He was in the awful movie The Runaways, about the Joan Jett-Lita Ford band from the 70's |

He was 50.
The one where he did the Japanese guy trying to rent Free Willy kills me, as well as the buffet bit |

Id love to move Vinny and bring in Vanek, but I think its easier said than done. If they re-sign Mac, they won't have much room to add Vanek. |

Again, we'll see. They were willing to totally restructure their cap to fit both Parise and Suter a few years back. A lot depends how much the cap goes up. I do think the organization values finding more of a pure goal scoring threat to compliment G more then the fans.

That's right. Forgot about that movie. He was in the money pit as well.
I mostly remember him playing a dork in late 80s early 90s sitcoms |

I just think a guy like Jagr would be a safer signing. It would only be for a year and you already know he works well with G. I think Vanek is going to cost A LOT.
I would love to move Vinny's contract though. Its a lot of money to be paying a 4th line player. |

Both good choices. I'm thinking about popping in Running Scared with Crystal & Hines. |
