Tough stretch of games against top opponents, but it's time to end this losing streak!

And luckily, almost everybody behind the Flyers lost last night as well.

Get it done!

I would too.

He'd look good on tthe Flyers' fourth line. That's a joke, but I'm also dead serious.

Not sure if he'd be nearly the same player that he was for us before he left. That last contract may have dulled his desire somewhat. Playing for the Sabes may have dulled it even more.

I'd pass on anything more that a one year 1.5 mil contract.

Oh for sure. I wasn't thinking 3 years at a 2.5 cap hit as cheap. I'm on board with your idea

As would I. But if Homer entertained the idea, I'd be an unhappy camper if they gave him anything more than a one year minimal make good deal.

In the end, the Flyers must be better then the last week...or they'll miss the the playoffs...and even at best, if Washington and Jersey slide, playing like this would allow them to be passed by both Columbus and Detroit.....that would mean Boston round one....and the end of the season in quick order.....
The playoffs star tonight.

detroit already has more points but thankfully they're in the other div. we can only get passed by columbus, nj, wash

I'm pretty bitter over the JVR trade. The idea that our tanked season only got us Luke is unbearable to me.

- Flyersgod

understandable but i have taken to looking at it this way: seeing how hard it is to get good defensemen and seeing some improvement of late as he is used differently and given that he i still young and that Dmen continue to develop and peak later in some cases.....and seeing that forwards, even if they have exceptional years, are easier to replace.....in a couple years that trade might be looked at differently

just (hoping) saying

Nothing cures a losing streak like a game vs a bottom feeder. Flyers should come out pissed

Yeah, I'm over it. If we had traded Kane for Schenn, that would be a different story.

imagine if you had a dvr that could splice in a different ending from another game that ended more favorably.....we should invent that

I think it's pretty safe to assume that Holmgren may try to make a splash with the draft being in Philly.

My guess is it will be some combo of B. Schenn, L. Schenn/Grossmann, Prospects and Couturier.

I only move Couturier if it you are getting a legit number 1 dman that is under the age of the 30 so that is Weber, Pieterangelo, Doughty or if you are getting a projected number 1 dman that isn't that far off , OEL, Subban, Hedman or the like.

I see L. Schenn and Grossman as being close to the same though I think Schenn brings more so i would much rather keep him, say goodbye to NG and get some mobility in that spot. If that is Gus then great, if not then in some other way.

No matter who you pair with Streit, that d-man is going to take a beating like Grossman has and you aren't going to put a top d-man next to Streit. L. Schenn isn't going anywhere and he shouldn't because he could very well still develope into a decent D-man.
