Cause we all know stanley cup winners are always made up of the most gifted offensive players. - Grinder47
Well, it doesn't hurt to have those kind of players......and I present his Conn Smythe as evidence.
I've read and heard enough from Mario over the years to understand how much he values players like Malkin. He's not going anywhere.

C'mon... it's simple logic... The only way to win another Cup is to trade away the guy who was the playoff MVP the year that we won the last Cup. |

Mario Lemieux will not allow one of the most gifted offensive players in the world to be traded from his roster. Sutter is not going anywhere. - madmike71

So we can afford Bolland. The missing link to the chain of superiority.

Bolland was so valuable to the Blackhawks in their last Cup run that they traded him shortly after for a few mid draft picks.
I'm sure in some bizzarro Blackhawks board, there were people who wanted to trade Patrick Kane so they could afford to extend Dave freakin' Bolland. |

Is it not the wrong bed if the owner who owns it is wrong? haha
Anyways, glad we are all talking about the Pens firing their coach and trading their players meanwhile the Pens don't even know who they are playing in the playoffs yet. You all seem to have thrown in the towel even earlier this year. |

First part: When you're in a strange house with a girl you just met after the 13th beer and she has a roomate, i am told it is possible to end up in the wrong bed. But my point is the bed isn't the problem, the person in it is. If said roomate hadn't of been home, the bed choice would be fine.
2nd part: Don't you dare lump me in with that crowd. I think i'm one of the few that thinks we have a shot. |

geez I've been coming to this board for years and I've never seen such a dismissive and arrogant attitude that I've seen on this board lately. really gets annoying. most people here have been guilty of it, i'm sure I fit that bill on occasion.
everyone here can have whatever opinion they want, doesn't mean it is wrong, doesn't mean it is right.
is trading malkin probable? no. but is it completely out in left field like some of you guys are suggesting? no, it is really not.
the fact of the matter is that this team has fallen short of expectations since 2010. if you keep doing the same thing over and over again, how long until you change something?
do I personally want to trade malkin? no. but would I trade him if the right offer came along? you had better believe I would.
simple as that. |

Top 5 lies in this thread:
1. Bylsma doesn't line match.
2. Bylsma doesn't play young guys
3. Bylsma doesn't make adjustments
4. Bylsma doesn't focus on team defense
5. Bylsma is in any kind of danger of being fired - hardnosed
If you dont think Bylsma favors vets over the younger players, then you havent watched very many games this year. I dont know what to say about that.
And at times, no, he doesnt bother to line match. That has been made alot more difficult with a horrid bottom 6 that needs sheltered minutes, but its still a fact that has been evident and pointed out a great many times this year.

Im starting to think hes trolling. Backes for Malkin straight up. Malkin will go back to Russia. Dude has a real hard on for Geno apparently.
Wait...was he the one who said he just dislikes Russians? |
