I think somebody should punch Dan Bylsma in the face and break his glasses. That'll fire him up. |

Maybe he should. He could be a player/coach like Reggie Dunlop. - canadianpenfan
Actually now that I think of it, he is lacing them up. His name is Craig Adams. |

Or his glasses could punch someone. That would be a feat. |

First part: When you're in a strange house with a girl you just met after the 13th beer and she has a roomate, i am told it is possible to end up in the wrong bed. But my point is the bed isn't the problem, the person in it is. If said roomate hadn't of been home, the bed choice would be fine.
2nd part: Don't you dare lump me in with that crowd. I think i'm one of the few that thinks we have a shot. - canadianpenfan
Fair enough. ha!
I think they do as well. Obviously the chance of falling flat on their faces is a possibility but it is a possibility for all the other teams as well. |

Im starting to think hes trolling. Backes for Malkin straight up. Malkin will go back to Russia. Dude has a real hard on for Geno apparently.
Wait...was he the one who said he just dislikes Russians? - thickman1178

Gotcha!
Henderson did have a point though. Throughout my boredom today I've been dismissed thoroughly within this site.

No doubt. My biggest concern is how tired Crosby looked the last 10 or so games. But it's hard to gauge how much effort the team as a whole has been putting forth on a nightly basis considering they haven't played a meaningful game in over a month.
Game 1 will tell me a lot. |

I mean this as a 100% serious question to Penguins fans:
Very simply, do you expect the Penguins to be able to beat the Bruins with the way things are now (i.e. no further injuries to either team, and injured players keeping to projected timetable of return)? As good as the Penguins are, would you expect them to be able to beat Boston (not CAN they, would they be the favorite)? - jmatchett383
I, for one, do not expect them to beat the Bruins. I feel that Boston actually will have a more difficult trek to get to the ECF. If you use conference seedings instead of Divisional seedings Boston will play the winner of the #3 and #4 seed (Montreal-Tampa Bay). Whereas Pittsburgh plays #5 vs. #6 (New York-Philadelphia). To help the Pens, I see the New York-Philadelphia match up as one very tough series, it will probably be physical and long. And by long I mean seven games with a couple OT games. |

So everyday posters here complain about how awful our bottom 6 is, now today you are complaining Bylsma doesn't match lines? lol So you want Adams, Glass, and Megna going against the other teams top line??? You're joking right? Bylsma has questionable personel decisions for sure, but matching lines is impossible with how awful our bottom 6 has been. I'll take Crosby against the other teams top line every night. |

I agree with your last sentence, unless we could have Crosby against a lesser line and a more suitable shutdown line against the opposing teams best line. |

One comment on the popular line of thinking about how the Bruins are going to smoke everyone in the East:
1. The Penguins last year ran the table in the month of March and were not only winning games in dominant fashion, but they were playing tremendous hockey while doing it, with solid puck possession and defense combined with their lethal offense. This included 2 wins over the Bruins in March and another in April. They struggled a bit in round 1 against the Islanders, but pretty much blew the doors off Ottawa.
They looked like world beaters but peaked too early and crashed and burned vs Boston.
2. The Bruins were thoroughly mediocre last March and only moderately better in April. They came within a gnat's eyelash of getting bounced by a very flawed Maple Leafs squad in the first round.
Anyone who would have said the Bruins would later sweep the Penguins in the conference finals after seeing the 2 teams perform in March would have been laughed off this site.
The Bruins certainly look like the world beaters this year, and the Penguins are certainly flawed.... but if we've learned anything, its that we shouldn't put too much stock in how a team performs in March when making predictions about what might happen in May. |

Just finished reading the Jagr interview, I love this quote:
"I don't know where I'm going to play, but I want to still play until I can't walk anymore," Jagr said. "To me, age is nothing. I don't get old. I don't know why. You've gotta ask God, man."
