Is this guy legit with rumours? I'm on board with this. I doubt he'd hire Feaster or McPhee. And hiring a more experienced President makes it easier to hire a first time GM. - Nucker101
He's saying that Linden will likely be the GM under Nicholson as President.
And Campbell is pretty well connected, I'd say. |

Not a fan of Linden becoming GM, he has no NHL front office experience. |

Burke had a good foundation when he took over the Canucks as well, Bure, Mogilny, Messier, Naslund, Bertuzzi, McCabe, Ohlund, Cooke before him.
The players that he (Gillis) inherited just happened to mature at the right time and he did make some good early additions to the club. Last couple of years has been terrible though, not to mention his poor drafting in the later rounds. - LeftCoaster
I read a good blog the other day that hypothesized that the team with Bertuzzi/Naslund/Morrison that lost to the Wild in round two was actually the best, and most likely team to win the cup |

Agree, would love Linden in a management role within the organization, maybe GM down the road, but not just thrown into the fire. |

With Nicholson above him he'll be just fine. |

So now Lebrun shot down the THN report and said Linden will be president. |

Edit: Linden as GM?!? - Nucker101
Even worse; there are suggestions of Naslund as GM under Nicholson as President.
I'm fine with Nicholson as President, but take your time to find a GM |

See, I only want Nicholson because he's respected and had connections. I don't see how being prez for a stacked hockey nation like Canada is impressive enough. My dream scenario is Nicholson as president and McNab or Hextall as GM. Gilman as assistant GM. Linden as VP or something. |

I don't think MLSE could afford to do that, as deep as those pockets are. |

All GM's hired will be thinking short-term to save their asses. AKA more Derek Roy scenarios. |
