Two things I would not like about a Linden hiring.

1) His closeness to the players. If Sedins have another bad year and it is in fact not a one off, can he separate himself to pull the trigger on separating or moving them.

2) His position on violence and fighting in hockey. From what I remember he was not a fan of the enforcer or fighting. Canucks fourth line as of now is a joke , I would not mind to see a heavyweight to accompany Sestito and Lain and play 4 minutes a night to bang and intimidate.

Above all I think at this point we need someone who knows people around the league. Gillis was an outsider and I think it hurt him in trade situations.

I'm not saying we need a dinosaur that's been passed around forever, but I think a current AGM, like many that were mentioned yesterday, should be explored to the fullest extent. If Linden becomes Prez he should absolutely take his time and interview.
