i never said you were spinning it, whats your problem?
im saying that is a lot to give up for a pricy third line center.
i like bolland, but 3 picks for a guy who plays 20 games then asks for 5 mil a year, sorry, thats just not something im overly happy about. - big_dion
OMG....cause Nonis knew he would only play 20 games!
If was freak accident, what can you do?
Its leafs karma....you should be use to it by now.
Its hasnt been confirmed what Bolland has or will ask from the leafs.....only speculated. |

Look what Vanek was traded for?
Raymond and Kulemin wouldnt have gotten a return close to that.
No one in management or leaf nation thought they were winning a cup.
But management was betting on them making the playoffs and winning a round (up until the Olymics that was a possibility), so why the hell would they trade their depth for crap? - Fakepartofme
God bless Leafs Nation.
We should have traded Raymond because he is the world's softest player, but another team would have been willing to give up major assets to add him for the playoffs.
We should have traded Kulemin because his one 30-goal season was a mirage, and he's nothing more than a 3rd liner who will want waaaaaaay too much money next season, so we should have traded him to Pittsburgh, because Malkin is just dying to play with a guy who is loaded with skill like Kulemin. |

Don't know why (not saying you) some people are giving up on Holland who was misused most of the time with the Leafs. The guy has skill and talent, give him more of a chance. - LeafMan
Exactly.
I still think that was a decent trade. |

Which is stupid. I know what they are trying to say and it sounds so smart now...blah blah blah.
But the reality is, management as with 99% of the people on here thought they were lock for the playoffs before the collaspe.
So you dont trade depth for low picks when you believe you can gain a round or two of experience in the playoffs. - Fakepartofme
I think Kuli/Raymond would have been a pretty good package together at a low cost to help a teams depth. Maybe add our pick or prospect and get something (like a defenseman) we can use in the future. (frank)in shove Jake up forward. Who cares! We misuse our players/resources all the time. This is a business, not one year. We need to think of the future as much as today.
Just for the sake of arguing, Leafs we're allowing 45 shots a game in the regular season, walk into the playoffs when all the teams tighten up even more. I guess we could have experienced some higher level asskicking |

Russian, thats probably it. I don't get it either. Maybe Kuli can score still we just ruined him here like everyone else. His shots have dropped by 50% since he scored 30. Confidence too. Ever see his shot when he finally does get a quick one off? Just like how everyone Kessel has the puck we think he can score (and makes it reality) we think kuli cant (which makes that reality). It's a mental game hes losing here.
But still.. I dont get it either. |

Oh we would have gotten killed.
I said in November if the leafs didnt lower the amount of shots they were allowing, they are going to get destroyed if they made playoffs (which I didnt think they would).
But I got heckled cause apparently most shots were from the perimeter blah, blah, blah. |

I agreed. Thats why people NOW are saying that they should have done things now to help later. Because now wasnt going to work. Might as well get the most out of your resources. Natives dont just kill the deer and eat the meat, they use every last bit of it. Now we're gonna let the scavengers eat up our UFAs that walk. |

raymond could have been sold high.
it cost us NOTHING to get him, and were paying him 1 mil a year.
you toss him and kulemin together and you could probley get a 2nd round pick for the both of them...its not like the other teams would have taken on a large amount of salary.
then we actually have a 2nd round pick, something we dont have for years.
bring up levio and play bodie in place of raymond.
what a terrible idea. |

You're the one who keeps bringing that up, want to blame someone for sarcastically yapping about it, blame yourself.
I don't care where they traded them to, I know quite a few of us saw this as third or fourth in the conference as fool's gold, why keep these players if you're not going to use them as part of the future especially on a team that in no way is in contention for a cup? |

its easy to stay clear of any comments back and fourth if every comment you post is some sarcastic jibbber jabber about nothing. of course, if you start the reply with "you know i love you, but" - it really holds no merit. |

Kulemin is not a two-way forward.
He had one 30-goal season. Other than that, his normal goal-output is similar to Tie Domi's output.
No, seriously, that's pretty close to the truth. Tie Domi. Look it up. |

Because management thought they could win a round if they made the playoffs.
Not difficult.
The experience would have been worth the loss of a 3rd or 4th rounder. |
