Not an issue. They always find a way to do anything they want.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing (after a good chuckle). They'd have to move some other guys out, too.

Oh they could do it and fit him. It means not replacing Timonen and possibly moving out someone else. But the question is, does that make sense? I would say not.

I think that sounds good in theory, but not sure it would work in practice. G and OV basically operate from the same spot on the ice, and good luck getting one of them to stand in front of the net.

Edmonton has a system? What is it, "Shoot as much as possible and abandon all defense ye who enter here?"

System: Get well rested for the huge "ping pong ball" parties. The brat pack needs reinforcements every summer.

I'm not against redoing the entire defense.

I'd like to win the cup this year. Let Timonen walk. Let Amac walk. Trade or cut the Schenns. Trade Coburn. Trade Grossman and find a way to get rid of Streit.

Anarchy on defense!

I really hope the Flyers drop to the first wild card slot.

Much rather the Penguins in the first round than the Rangers.

It sounds crazy considering the talent on the Pens, but the Rangers play a style of hockey that the Flyers seem completely incapable of figuring out. Tampa does the same crap to the Flyers each game as well, but are a tad less physical.

To start the day, i'd also like to throw out a crazy trade proposal.

To Wash:
B. Schenn
Laughton
2016 1st Rd Pick
Bag of Cash

To Phil:
Ovechkin

Turn him into a Left Winger and go Ovechkin/Giroux/Voracek

Go ahead, kill my dream.

L. Schenn

2016 1st Rd Pick

To Phil:

I love the thought of Read with Giroux. I really think he could be a top scoring threat playing with Giroux. But we saw last night, how Downie was largely responsible for 2 goals against. And Simmonds is not exactly a defensive forward. So from a defensive and matchup standpoint. That line doesn't work for me.

Drive me nuts how we can't play vs Tampa.. they own us.. It's so bad that before the game even started, I was like, it will take a miracle to get a point tonight. And, you just know, Tampa will lay an egg tonight vs Columbus thereby allowing them to move into the 3rd seed..

Way too much to give up there. And I have zero interest in Byfuglien.

Personally i don't want Schenn anywhere near the top line. We can't afford for our first line to not produce and he's been pretty ineffective lately (minus his 2 goals a few games ago).

Not about ES, it's about on the PP. Giroux sets up on the left side half wall, which is the same area where Ovechkin likes to set up on the PP.

If that deal was accepted, Homer would have a job for the rest of his life.

Grossman I think will be a cap casualty. Kimmo should definitely not be back, regardless of whether he officially wants to retire or not.

If Alt or Lauridsen aren't ready to hold down a bottom-6 job, it just means you signing two FA's to help back on D. This doesn't include resigning AMac, who I think without question should be brought back.

Ron Hainsey is a FA who immediately jumps out at me. Other guys I'd have some interest in are Mark Fayne, Chris Butler, Anton Belov, Tom Gilbert, and Kyle Quincey.....roughly in that order.

He could run the 2nd PP. Keep Giroux on the first.

Even if they kept on the first PP, i fail to see how adding a player of his talent level would hurt Giroux.
