Boy I hope they can do better than Larsson as the 3rd line C in this rebuild.
While he has seemed more comfortable in his last call up...he is stout on his skates for his size but I see zero in the offensive zone...is he an nhler?...still too early to tell. - siket71
id say zemgus is most likely the 3c of the future. with 1c and 2c going to any of hodgson, grigorenko, ennis or top '14 '15 draft picks depending on picks, trades, and development. i dont see larsson with a spot in the top 9. at least not at C |

this is the worst hockey team I have ever seen play - homiedclown
Anyone wonder why they have skipped AM skates so many times this year? Injuries (like yesterday) are one thing. Coming to a game woefully unprepared to play is a disturbing trend under Nolan.
This is the same Ted Nolan who barely attends a video session and just lets Sacco run them.
This team is going nowhere with Ted Nolan and I'm nervous about Tim Murray. |

Nice avatar. Girgensons could end up at wing on the second line as well. |

Ever? of any team?
I sincerely doubt that. There have been some very bad teams playing since the lockout and before. This buffalo team is certainly in the mix, but to say they are without question the worth team is pushing it, especially when i doubt you watch any team like you watch the sabres.
You could make a pretty passionate argument for the sabres being that team, and i wouldn't necessarily disagree with you (hey, i've watched every game this season too) but i dunno. worst team ever? i'd have a hard time comfortably saying that. - Putzfrau
False.. They are statistically and emotionally for that matter the worst team I have ever seen and probably that has been since the 82 game schedule came about. |

39pts in 47games in Rochester
Tough to tell what he'll be in the NHL
He does have some offensive talent
Remember, this team is horrible offensively right now
Plus, he hasn't been out in many "offensive" situations
Scoring will come in time
I think he can be a solid 15-20goal guy |

thanks its supposed to be a tauntaun and light sabres.
yeah i suppose girgs would definitly make a good 2w but i like him a little better at 3c. my though is the power house teams tend to have a strong 3c who could be a 2c on many teams... i guess in a dream scenario im envisioning girgs as our stall or stoll... |

This team would go nowhere with Toe Blake coaching them right now.
If you're expecting them to be good in the next year or two (or maybe even three), and you're not sold on Nolan, then yes, I'd be concerned.
But they won't be.
And Murray's been here, what, 3 months, and there are doubts about him already?

I think he's much more physical though
Hecht was usually about an 18goal scorer
If Larsson is good defensively & keeps the physical play up, I'd be happy with 15-20 goals and 40+ points
Especially if he's going up against other teams top forwards |

agreed. so far i really like murray. not jus the moves hes made, i like his blunt and honest answers, and his willingness to make risky moves and not just play it safe.
as for nolan he may or may not be the strongest coaching option to take this team deep into a playoff run, but as u said thats not something we need to worry about for now. for the time being we just need someone to keep young players motivated through the trudge of next season... i say nolan is good for that. |

Ppl on here need to quit their whining
It's pretty ridiculous
We all knew what was in store for this team when we started trading everyone away
Ya, it's tough to watch
But I just try and focus on individual players & whether or not they're improving
We've just got to accept that this is the way it's gonna be for another year or two |

After 16 years of "Yoda-speak" out of Darcy, it is such a breath of fresh air listening to Murray. He is asked the question, he gives you the answer, and stares at the group waiting for the next question. Love him. And I love the look on his face, like "you know, I've got players to scout. Hurry up".

All depends on whether or not we make the playoffs in 2016-2017
That's a realistic goal
That would be the last year of his deal
If the team is moving forward, I think he gets another 3yr deal |

I personally don't see him coaching a highly skilled team. They IMO won't buy into him. |

Oh, me too, man.
What a draft they had last year. If Murray can just land a few high end offensive players, this organization is going to be STACKED. The depth should be incredible. |

I like what Murray has to say about the type of team he wants to build (competitive, big, fast).
Although, Regier and Devine deserve some credit, too.
