That is Lucic's game he did nothing overly dirty or illegal in my eyes. He is just a major pain in the butt and agitator - Cheeseballin
Cross checking a player after the play is over and you're being escorted to the box isn't illegal?? |

Point is he is a very dirty player, takes cheap shots on many smaller players. When he is challenged he always backs down. In my eyes he is a coward and a cheap shot artist and thanks to the NHL he will keep it up |

I agree it's ridiculous the way they give him penaltys and misconducts. The refs know what he is out there to do and has a bad rep unfortunately. - Cheeseballin
What has he done though? Kessel hit him with the stick. |

I think you are over dramatizing it a bit. He pushed him and Dags fell over. Dirty yes, illegal no. Pushing and shoving happens all the time after the play is over |

I know it's John Scott, but damn....Chara has to stop going around the league and cross checking people in the face. It really pisses me off that players like myers get suspensions. I hate the dude. |

He is out there to punch people in the face not score goals. The league does not want that type of player anymore. |

I wouldn't call it dirty, but last time I checked, cross checking is illegal. What he did is as blatant as it gets. If one of our guys did that to him, you know they would have gotten an extra penalty. |

Didn't almost kill a Montreal player? I don't think he even got suspended for that hit. |

When Myers hits someone high, it's considered malicious. When Chara does it, he gets excused because he's just bigger than anyone else. The way the league talks out of both sides of it's mouth is obnoxious. |

And Scott is the type of player lucic and chara would have had to fight 6 years ago but they have no fear of that cause the nhl protects cheap shot scumbags.. |

Maybe so. Hes a "star" player though. He will be protected more than he will be punished. |

And that's where the league is wrong. It shouldn't matter if you score 100 goals a year or 0. Dirty and illegal is dirty and illegal. |

I agree. Fighting will inevitably be banned at some point. I don't know what will happen after that. |

Lucic is a modern day claude lemieux but with less skill if Lemieux did not have to fight or get cheap shots back for all his dirty play |

And when fighting is banned I will no longer watch hockey. I fear too see what will happen when players first thought to protect them selfs is there stick

Thats basically 95% of the players....should he alter his game until they create a league of super heavyweights for him to play in? |

But, the top 5 are good players. Weren't they a playoff team last year? With JT back and the 4th overall pick, they could easily be in the playoff hunt next year. My prediction is he keeps it. He would be crazy not to. And don't forget there are rumors they will change the draft lottery for McDavid. In my opinion you have to take the sure thing. One in the hand is worth two in the bush. - Jerry1964
Yes they were a (still only like an 8th seed) playoff team last year but so were the leafs, both got bounced in the first round and neither made it this year, I also addressed that when I was talking about their only decent year was during a lockout season, and how can they easily make the playoffs (or even come close) next year? They were bad this year, lost players, and I don't think an 18 year old on a bad team is going to make much of a difference. Sure they MIGHT change the lottery, but that draft is still supposed to be much better (not just McDavid and Eichel). |

He is 6'4 many players out there his size, point being he will fight or go after skilled players that are small, for a long time players that played like lucic and did as much had to fight a probert ray domi and if they did not they where seen as cowards though out the NHL |

McCabe will play tomorrow. There wasn't a match penalty called and he got a 10 min misconduct for some reason which took him out of the game. |

That's good to hear. I still don't understand why there was any penalty called on that hit in the first place though. |

All big hits are called now, the nhl does not want big hits or fighting, the future of hockey will be pond hockey or like the all star game |
