a "pro" athlete has more pride in himself, his dedication, professionalism, and hard work, than to take a bunch of (frank)ing cocaine. im not saying I agree with the post you retorted to as it was kinda; "pump my own tires".
but I do think you're being incredibly naïve.
the list of pro athletes that have been caught numerous time for drugs is endless.
from everything including marijuana to horse tranquilizers and meth. and im not talking about just the regular average pros, im talking about some of the all time greats that of course dedicated themselves to the game.
while there's no question some athletes don't engage, im sure it's incredibly rampant.
in todays society, being a young millionaire athlete, treated like you're a god everwhere you go etc etc. cocaine isn't even hardly considered taboo. its just around and a normal thing for that lifestyle.
being dedicated to your sport doesn't neccesarily mean that you don't let loose when you party. have you ever seen these guys at the clubs when they get nights off on the road?--they're effin animals. famous and rich ones who can afford whatever they want.
I don't mean to be disrespectful, but if you don't think sex and drugs are extremely common occurrences, then I think the wool's been pulled over your eyes abit.
