Can't you see? Garth Snow is a genius who makes incredible trades and has an eye for talent in the draft. Everyone was surprised when he took JT first, he was such a sleeper prospect! Isles fans worship the Great Garth.

You're looking at a minimum of 5 years, and that's if you get lucky like the pens and Hawks and get two franchise players in the draft. Believe me I'm not throwing insults at the Sabres, I know how much losing it takes and how it sucks year after year. I find it odd that so many of you would be laughing at the Isles with the long painful road ahead.

We have our blue line and bottom 6 pretty much set. We need two drafts of top picks and a trade or 2 and we will be right there.

We have so many assets to move for NHL players that after the McDavid draft I expect to compete in the 2016-2017 season

We have lots of young guys ready to go. Kids are only 18 yrs old when drafted.

The Isles problem is they have not added quality veterans to help the young guys.

Wang will not spend money either.

You guys have to be patient for at least the next 2 years... you have an owner that will throw the money out there when the time comes.

You need to draft either 1st or 2nd overall next year!!!

The difference is that we don't have Garth Snow as a GM or a wacky owner like Wang.

I don't think our rebuild takes 5 more years. I can see them making the playoffs in 2, but that depends on whether or not Murray makes the right moves. So far, it seems like he'll do whatever he had to in order to make the team better. I have faith, but this offseason will really tell us more about it.

Go look at the Hawks and pens and then tell me it won't take 5 more years. Seriously, go look at how long both teams missed the playoffs and keep in mind crosby and malkin, Toews and Kane. You really think it's going to take less than 5 years? Do you already have one of those type of franchise players? You have some good prospects, but there is no one on the Sabresof that caliber yet.
You can make fun of our owner for sure we hate him and our coaches and GM. The good news for us is that Wang wants out. Your owner has already tried throwing money at it and it didn't work, it's a long painful road. Good luck, but you're wrong.

At least Scott got dropped and Leino finished the season with zero goals and in reaction stated, "I haven't really thought about it that much."
