I can remember Hodge being initiated in to the NHL by a Gordie Howe elbow. Was a thing of beauty. The officials never saw it.

Tavares, Stamkos, Subban, Duchene, Hodgson and Pietrangelo all played on the same team growing up in Toronto for a time. That's insane when you think about it.

They do 'Bows, but not the same if it isn't THEIR TEAM. Leaf fans in general don't give a phuck that Toews, Keith, Seabs, Crow and Sharp are Canadian. Same applies to most teams i'd say.

Every city, Canadian or American, is much more invested, when it's THEIR TEAM.

My Canadian buddy, a Leafs fan , is obsessed with bringing the Cup back to any Canadian team. Cheers balls to the wall like I do for the Hawks but for every Canadian team in the playoffs.... Crazy !

I get the concept of bringing the Cup "home" but a Leafs fan cheering for the Habs or Canucks ? That's bonkers to me.

Exactly. Hawks are known at times though to take the hard road. I don't think it will be easy, but they need to take advantage of these injuries. I bet a lot play but they will be way less than 100 %
