The hell you say!! Coaches not telling the truth about injuries to everyone including the teams they are playing against? I don't believe it....That would never happen
Sorry Grek...nothing against you....well...except that you are a Blues fan
Just messing around...should be a good series - captainserious
Sounds like Osh and Tarasenko ready to go. Just need Dr to ok them. |

You mean whether the Blues will have prayer if they can interfere and obstruct all over the ice? Doubtful. But I'm sure it'll be the refs fault when you guys lose, just like every year! - rollpards19

Amen, brotha.
How are the locals feeling about the South Stars's return to the playoffs? - prd797
Don't know, honestly. I work from home 99% of the time, haven't gotten out much since they clinched their spot. They do not get a lot of love from sports talk radio, mostly because sports talk radio doesn't know the sport. It's almost all Cowboys, Rangers, and Mavericks.
But like any other city, if you win, they will come.
If things fall right for them I could see them getting by the Ducks, but realistically, if Benn and Seguin don't produce big, they're dead. They lack depth scoring and their defensive group is highly suspect. Lehtonen is capable of stealing a series. If he played in a big, traditional hockey market he'd be a lot bigger name league-wide.
They are playing with the house's money at this point. Anything they get from here on out is gravy. They are in a good spot with two rising superstars, they should only get better. Nill has done a good job for them. Garbutt and Roussel lose their minds once in awhile, but they are a pretty entertaining team to watch. |

And for anyone leading the charge to sit Bolig.....see how banged up the Blues are? See how important it will be to take the body on all these guys and hammer the hell out of them, just as they will do on Toews, Kane, etc......
Can't wait until this series starts so we can just talk about the game, etc..... |

In the Ditch with Hitch is under huge pressure to win this series. The GM has given him all the players he wanted to make a Cup run. If the team crashes and burns, Fatso will be found in a psycho ward sitting in his underwear with gigantic bags of day old donuts playing his silly Civil War games all day. And the Blue's players know he isn't far from a meltdown if things start going bad.

I'm on the fence. Normally I'd like to see Morin in the line-up over Bollig, but the Blues will try to press the game physically. I know Bollig will likely play 7-8 minutes, but Q will like the option of putting a physical forward out there. If Bickell and Shaw can play a smart physical game then Q can feel more comfortable about sitting Bollig. |

Hopefully hawks remember the way big bad bruins team was defeated last postseason. - Uncheckable21
Hopefully and that's a good comparison since Stl/Bos play a similar style.
Somebody here made a really good point last week that the Hawks D has the ability to clear the zone fast and if Hitch pulls the pin on the kamikaze forecheck style, that should set our guys up for some odd man rushes the other way.
Q, in his interview, yesterday said the key to Chicago's two, late season wins was keeping it simple vis a vis clearing the defensive zone. Hope that trend continues.
And Tazer said the boys weren't really happy with the lackluster first round series vs Minny last year, and they as a group know a sharper, more focused effort is required vs this year's round 1 opponent.

I liked what Morin brought....but to be clear...this is the 1st time he's been called up and made an impact. For all the ribbing Pirri, and others took, Morin is in the same boat.
Q is going to go with guys he can trust, and 52 was invaluable on that 4th line with Kruger/Smith. Notice how Q didn't tinker with that, which tells me he's going to try to match that line up against the Blues top guns. |

This is precisely how I feel.
All plans will revolve around me either being at a TV to watch roadies or leaving work early to get to the UC early for games.
And I'm perfectly OK with that. |

Chicago is the third least penalized team in hockey
The Blues are the 2nd most penalized team in hockey
If the Hawks don't have a clear advantage in penalty minutes at the end of this series then it's a huge break from what happened over an 82 game schedule (and something that can specifically be pinpointed to officiating). - CaptainBlackhawk
Has to translate to a clear advantage on the scoreboard or it means very little. |

How's it going, Stever? I know there's been some talk about Bollig sitting; but I don't see sitting a guy who dressed for every game of the year. Q (and Stan) seems to like what he brings. |
