Chris Kuc...always showing great insight on all things blackhawks...instead of asking Q why he chose Zus and Vsteeg over Morin and Regin we are spoon-fed playoff mullet stories. |

Let's be honest, wasn't much to pay attention to from 1995 until 2009.
BTW, 19 and 88 skating today without any bracing or armor. VERY good sign. They will both be 100%. Book it.
Put no faith in anything Q says about anything, or who he lines up in practice. I think we see these lines for game 1:
29-19-88, 10-26 (to start)-81, 20-12-11, 52-16-28
If he doesn't then he is an idiot. Play the best players. Game 1 is crucial to win. - Return of the Roar
True. Doesn't stop Leaf fans though. We won't have a clue about line until maybe the morning skate. My gut tells me he is going to ride with his veterans to start and go from there. |

I wonder when this place started? I think JJ has a 2006 date. It is true there wasn't anything good to talk about then. Mainly a lot of draft and trade talk. Would be curious to see people debating selecting toews and Kane. I bet a lot would have wanted kessel and Turris - tomcat24
2005 I think. |

I'm not trying to defend Kuc, but do you really expect Q to answer that question if he were asked? |

That dude is quite literally the worst. Also I don't think Morin is going to play Q sounded pretty apathetic talking about him today. |

Damn even before they drafted toews. Right during the dark period without an end in sight. If we think people are pissed about the Hawks now, imagine the boards then |

Barring an injury I don't see Morin playing, even if we're down in a series. Morin may not have a big role with the team this year but it will likely be a different story next season. |

If you put him on the spot enough, then yes. Carlyle had to answer real hockey questions. He doesn't ask because he doesn't know anything about hockey. |

Q is a master at talking a lot without saying anything, he would avoid saying anything specific. I'd really like to see Morin get some ice time. |

I'm hoping as well! I think the wild can take the Avs with Duchene out! Don't think they can get by the Hawks though! Good luck Chi-town fans! I think the Hawks can pull out another cup victory! |

I'd bet Hawk fans get more pissed now than then - higher expectations, more to be pissed about when those expectations aren't met.
Like A-Rob.
I would guess more like resignation back then - like, ok, Jeez, here we go again.
Who gets pissed about the Cubs today? |

Certainly not now, although apparently there are some fans who still don't realize they are in the middle of a total rebuild; what's a few more years when you haven't won it all in 106 yrs.
I think there was some more expectation after 2003 because they seemed close. Kind of stopped following after that and don't really care about baseball much anymore. Even when they had the great records and went to the playoffs in successive seasons with Lou at the helm, I had no expectations of them winning. |

If - and this is just a question, not trying to look ahead - IF the Hawks get past the Blues:
If then the Avs beat the Wild, the Avs would have home-ice advantage.
But if the a Wild were to great the Avs, would Minnie or Chicago have home-ice advantage in the second round? |

Wouldn't it be Chicago? Better record and Minny was the wild card. |

But I don't think that would be true in the NBA - they don't re-seed each round.
I don't know about the NHL. |

If the Wild knock off the Avs, and Chicago dispatches St. Louis, I think you're correct in saying that Chicago would have home ice against the Wild.
That would make sense to me... |

I was looking it up a few places online. From what it says it looks like that's how it would play out if both the Hawks and Wild were to advance. |

Is it too early to rattle the cages and get the "Mashinter should be in to match the Blues goonery" started. |

True, but it's fun to read some of the rationale...for a while anyway.
We could talk "What's your favorite season of American Idol?"
Any predictions for the Hawks vs Blues series? Was looking at the schedule; Saturday is a matinee. |
