Not sure what to say about all this. The offer sheet thing rarely ever works.
Why would his value drop if he is not signed?

- Marc D

Would you trade for an RFA forward who may or may not be difficult to work with and get signed, or a forward with the same talent level and a contract?

UFA's get less before July 1st in trades. RFA's obviously get more because the team has a ton of leverage.

Personally I'd rather see a healthy Downie on the Couts line.

But it has been a while since Downie was healthy.
The Rangers playing without Krieder is a bigger loss for them.

- Marc D

Much bigger loss. The Rangers are offensively challenged to begin with. Kreider has scored 17 goals, puts him tied for 5th on the team.

Downie hasn't contributed anything in months, and while the options to replace him aren't great, I think it's a positive that he's not playing.

I'm officially watching this thread all day now just for the reactions. I remember when we had this reaction with Kreider. Congrats boys.

Random, but with this kinda situation, Justin Schultz must feel like an idiot huh?

Kreider's been out with a broken hand for some time now. Had surgery. Hoping to get him back for start of ECF. Brassard left practice but is expected to play game 1 now.

The ghost signing is a pretty big deal?

I haven't been on here much the last week, but I was under the impression he was going to sign regardless, no?

Hopefully Mason is a go.....two great signings by the Flyers this morning....Macdonald got what he would get on the open market, give or take 250,000 a year....he really is a decent 3-4 who could play top minutes with a, stud type D on the other side.....getting Ghost signed is just a win win.....I may be in the minority....but I think this kid steps in and plays in Philly next year.....after watching his game in frozen 4, I think he's further ahead then most think.....you can't teach his skill set.

He really hasn't been effective since the original concussion.
Makes you wonder if he was trying to push things and play before he was 100%.

I just feel bad for him.
Even if he has made some awful hits in the past.

Oh well. On the bright side maybe Rocky Mtn Chocolate Bill will return now.

Haven't you heard? He's the second coming! He's Lidspronger. Or Prongstrom. I forget which exactly.

Edit: when he didn't immediately put down the championship trophy and sign with the Flyers, people started getting nervous.

Your impression was 100% correct.

There was some panic in the threads that he might go back to school for his 4th year and that he could become an UFA if he didn't sign by August 2015.

You need to spice up that name a bit before I listen to anything you say.

No need to spice up Maata. He's pretty much a mythological god at this point
